Re: Openbve Central Line demo
I am glad to see there is still an interest.
My sincerest apologies but January hasn't happened.
The ATP is finished and ready to go but typically the third member of our team has thrown in the towel and has left a still unfinished White City!
Had he finished WHC then I would just have to worry about the final section, but no...
Thankfully however it is now just WHC to finish and Liverpool Street only.
Don't worry it is still being done, and a release is certainly very close now. As it is also now only two of us it will get done a lot quicker.
If I don't get this released by this month you can fire me
On another note if anyone can get me some specific photo's of Liverpool Street and in the next day or so, then I would be grateful for your assistance. It would help me out a lot, not to mention speed the completion of it up.

By that I meant the release that I had hoped for didn't happen in January. You have no idea how desperate I am to finish this demo!

Re: Openbve Central Line demo
Right....
I am pleased to say that we now only need to finish Liverpool Street and White City. I have been given some very useful reference photos now so if all goes well Liverpool Street will not take me very long.
I would say now the demo is about 85/90% done. The ATP is pretty much finished for the demo, and we have even thrown in a few bells and whistles
I am aiming to get this demo ready for this month so if all goes well....
In the meantime here is a slightly updated preview of the route, with a few new additions since the last version.
I am sorry this is taking so long but I promise you it is being done

Re: Openbve Central Line demo
It is looking now that the release will be early march.
As you can see from the comparison screenshots below Liverpool Street save for a few things is now about finished:
Previous screenshot
Newer screenshots
The area around Wood Lane is also actually built now, so that just leaves White City which is an unfinished mess...
After this has been finished, then this demo is ready for a release
My apologies for how long this is taking.

I can't wait. This is a great example of showing just what openBVE is capable of. More people need to know about this.

Re: Openbve Central Line demo
Looking cool! Apart from not being thoroughly overcrowded it looks just like the real thing. BTW, when speaking of OpenBVE and London Underground: I've been to the London Transport Museum today. Apart from being vastly disappointed (15 GBP entrance for... well for what? It's a pretty small museum. A third of the price would be okay, but this way...?) I noticed the simulator seems to be gone. Where is it supposed to stand?

Re: Openbve Central Line demo
Another great station in production there!
Quork I work part time in the LTM and the simulators are still there but they are rather tucked away behind the 38 stock. As you probably know there are 4 simulators. None of them are a realistic drive I find that I can use BVE far better on a keyboard than use the simulators at the LTM. They are more just of a kids toy to be honest and Usually swamped in kids anyway.

Re: Openbve Central Line demo
Well that I thought and thus also didn't particularily look for it. However, the 38 stock is in the depot as I understand it? So the sim as well? I'm sorry, I'm not really sure about LT stock, was never my particular interest, just like I also don't recognise german underground stocks, so sorry if I'm wrong >.< I think if the depot were open I'd be happy with my visit there (assuming the depot is accessible with the museum ticket when it's open), this way it's just... Not enough. Which doesn't devaluate the staff's work, you can't exactly blame personnel for space problems...^^ I must point out, all people I met were very kind there. I was also helped out when I stumbled upon a technical detail which I wanted to sketch for my notes but had no paper with me.
On a side note, it's a pity virtually no museum shows their vehicles from down below, although there is so much to see... But that's by no means LTM-specific, I think I've not seen any "real" museum with vehicles accessible from below, only in sheds with working museal vehicles, which then aren't usually officially accessible.

The Central line is not yet open to passengers, so the platforms are empty
Seriously though I will put them in last. It doesn't take a second to put 2D people on a platform.
The LTM is disappointing yes, I remember when I tried out the new 96 simulator as it was getting ready to re-open. I originally put the Jubilee line mk1 route in to it, which was removed due to BVE 4 at the time being unable to handle my textures. It was disappointing how easily the TBC used to break and I believe it still is a problem now.
I can't comment if or where they have gone because I haven't been there for years.
Re: Openbve Central Line demo
My, my, my it's been a long time since I've been on BVE and it's nice to see the London Underground section for OpeBVE reactive again with such brilliant piece of work in production well done AD1992 and the rest of crew

There has been a recent shooting (no one hurt. phew!) at Leytonstone station. ITS SO ANNOYING!!! You get the heaven of going on the London underground but there's always a worry that someone is going to blow something up or kidnap you. (P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong section )

I'm not surprised, Leytonstone is a horrible place with a tribal war waiting to happen.
Good old multiculturalism!

Re: Openbve Central Line demo
Liverpool Street is finished, working on the final section now.
If all goes well it should be ready in a week or two.

It is good to see you guys are still working on this project, it is shaping up nicely. I hope I will catch you up on Skype someday; I am on a nightshift at work and we cannot use Skype here.
