I am happy to say we have made a lot of progress and the first full release of the demo will be released very soon.
I can't say exactly what date, but I will say we are over half way with it now.

In the mean time here is a small preview of a section of the next release.

As it stands this video is now outdated and yet even more progress has been achieved in the space of two days. Smile

i just have two quick questions:
Has the ATO been sharpened up on approaches? because right now the last 2-1 meter seams to be 1 mph and the last meter 0.5 mph and at Liverpool St i was slightly early and the last 10 meters was done at 1 mph.
When you release the demo can you take a installed version and zip it so its easier to install?

If by that you mean does the train still crawl up to the marker in places yes it does, because that is how it behaves in real life.

How can I take an installed version? It is up to a user to install it in to the right folders. I put them in the right folders and zipped them, then I wrote in the instructions where the folders go. However what I might do in the next rendition of the instruction manual is a rough guide on how to install openbve.

Very good Dan, one criticism I would have is that after West Acton the trees look very repetitive maybe make a few different dykes (or whatever we call them now?) and change the heights/ widths/ lengths/ shades and colours of each individual treeso that it doesn't look the same all the way up.

Very good, keep up the good work looking forward to the release.

Regards,

Dan

I am not very happy with that bit either but I won't change it until the next version. This version is very close to being finished now as it is and if I start spending time on doing things like that now, it will delay it even more.

I am sorry about how long this route has taken, certain aspects of scenery have taken longer than I originally had hoped!

As you can see from the preview Wink We are now working on the final section, White City platform. Very nearly there now Smile

I just download the preview and tried it out: it's really nicely done!

Do you have any plans to document (or better, to open source) the plugin?

I see. It would be nice if it was though, as that would make developing local add-ons here easier or at least more realistic (We have a very similar Westinghouse system too on 2 lines)

In case anyone didn't know yet. This has now been released and you can find it on either the website, or the announcements section of the forum.
