I think platform walls are wrong for Crossflatts Ben. I still have a feelin it could be Shipley. We might have the right line though???

Re: Guess the station!
Well, Bramley is not in a valley, the overhead runs out after Skipton so that does narrow it down a bit. It's DEFINITELY not Saltaire or Bingley.
Re: Guess the station!
Keighley isn't it, looking towards Leeds? Worth Valley curving off to the right past the signal box?
Must be somewhere in that neck of the woods as it's on the Heysham Port job.

It is Keighley! Your turn...! - And I'm not sure but I think the station is the only beautiful thing in Keighley...

Oi, cheeky! Not far off my patch so no Google needed there!
Alright, a cryptic clue for this one. It's not on the Tyne and Wear Metro.

Re: Guess the station!
Nope and Nope. I'll give you a clue, as it's a bit of a stinker. The signal plate isn't blurred out (it's not fully readable, but you can read enough of it, and there's a level crossing.
By saying cryptically it's not on the T&W Metro, it could possibly be somewhere with a similar name to somewhere on that....

Re: Guess the station!
Nope.
It was a bit of a stinker, but i've not scanned that many old photos in yet. The signal is S466 and is at the east end of Whitley Bridge which is not on the T&W Metro, but is a little like Whitley Bay, which is.
Anyhow, since you're struggling, i'll will PINE that one, and you can have this nice picture of 159010 instead.
Fortunately i don't need to blur it as it's a crap picture from a crap camera

It looks very familiar. Is it on the chiltern line somewhere by any chance?
Ok, I'll have a stab in the dark... Leamington?
Edit:
Actually looking again, I'm almost certain that it's Leamington!
Edit 2: It definitely is Leam!
Here's a clearer shot from a pretty similar angle

Re: Guess the station!
Indeed it is. I actually saw 2 159s that day- the first was a Tyseley. I saw it heading towards us thinking "you don't get 158s here, do you?" and thought the number looked odd, spotted the NSE flash and muttered "Oh, a 159". The Source of Wisdom next to me blurted out "Don;t be stupid, you don;t get those... oh!" He was floored when one turned up there too.
So Mr Ned, your turn.....

Re: Guess the station!
Nothing wrong with his game, but please remember that non-Irish, and certainly non-UK people cannot participate. How can we know stations in Ireland?

Re: Guess the station!
The Irish contingent (both of them LOL) seem to get more Brit ones right than the Brits do with Irish stations. Agreed it's difficult if you haven't been to any of these islands. No doubt the Anglo-Saxons and Celts would have difficulty with Netherlands or German stations.
However, I admit I cheated by guessing POSSIBLE answers and then looking up google images to see if I could be right. It can be interesting researching railways this way, so there is some value in the game, even if it's a minority sport
