Demise of the BVET forum Empty Demise of the BVET forum

The former BVE Terminus Forum, which had shown increasingly less activity in recent years, has now gone.
A statement from the proprietor is  as follows:

Stephen Cross aka TaffyCross on the forums has decided to end the BVE Terminus’s Forum.

Hi all,

I did not see any point in keeping alive something others no long saw a need or a place
in today’s BVE / OpenBVE community.  This may cause a few eyebrows to be raised or
upset a few out there, but if they were concerned they should have been move active.

To those that are upset I apologise but the decision is final and the site is gone.  With today's  FB and
other social media offerings a Forum, though once essential, is like Yahoo Groups in nearing
the end of its usefulness.

Stephen.

The Forum alone is affected. Other parts of the site linking information and downloadable free items remain available to the community at the  http://www.bve-terminus.org/ address.  It is my understanding that, with the forum gone, this will continue to be a site for downloading a variety of hosted items including routes, trains, bve utilities and scenic items for free use by constructors.

Not surprising, last time I looked, the last post was around 12 months ago.

Interestingly, I've just visited BVE-T and the link to the forum takes you to this.
