The absolute state of BVET Forums Empty The absolute state of BVET Forums

I went to check how BVE Terminus was doing, holy cows!
The "replacement" forum is nothing but spam!
It has got one board with not 1, not 10, not 50 pages of spam, but 3936!
I ran some quick maths and they've got about 78710 topics, at an astounding rate of roughly 600 posts per day, or 25 per hour!
And not a single topic about trains in the slightest. At this rate, they'll have to just completely shut down the forums to save on disk space.

There, I uploaded my recreation of Meitetsu's Yaotsu line around the time it (the line) was shutdown (for the original BVE1). No, I can guarantee that I did NOT steal the route... Available here.. GutsAndGlory at FC2 web It's a shame really.. I feel I don't have the space to upload such a simplistic route... That was an exercise in courage and motivation (that went in vain, sadly)

I'm glad that we're okay and we have activity at least.

I'm going to lock this now-
The state & management of other forums is nothing we have control over.

As such, topics like this inevitably tend to degenerate....

A side note - it often happens that when a domain expires, someone takes hold of it to try and do harm.
The reason is simple - the domain has worked for a while and is propagated, registered in search engines etc. That means people, who are not aware the original product is not there, will automatically click it.

Another case is when the former forum staff does not want to keep hold of a part of the domain - which is the case with BVET forum. The settings, spam filters and everything else vanishes and the result is the abovementioned page. It is safe to say that "forum" has nothing to do with the original BVET forum anymore.
If the same happened to BVE WorldWide, the result would be the same in some time frame.

BVE T has now shutdown the hosting for the “forum” and no longer has any affiliation with it. Admin feel free to lock or remove with comments added to the locked topic, just a heads up that it’s now gone.

Happy Friday all Smile

Thanks to Glory! Koshiki for alerting the community to the hacked site. All's well and it's gone now.
