Re: BVETube Updates and Announcements
An extended look at the seating, with new modelling for said seating, courtesy of our newest member. We'll be using the same texture for our 1998 A60 Stock. The seating makes it come to life, very much indeed.
After the train is completed, it will be modified to be in its original form; as the 1938 Stock. This model will be used in some of the early scenarios for the Metropolitan Line route, and we hope that we can make it compatible with the new Jubilee Line route as well.

The seating texture that will be used for the 1998 A60 Stock and Class 483. I personally do not have any memories of this moquette, but I do have memories of the later one.

Re: BVETube Updates and Announcements
Um, erm, you are aware the texture is absolutely unnecessarily big?

I mean for the sim ;-) You just need that little square once and then map it over the whole seat. Same effect, but thousands of times less GPU memory (and drive space) used up ;-)

Ah, thats a brilliant idea. I have just put that to SP, and it should be implemented ASAP. That will definitely improve framerates on computers. Thanks!

Re: BVETube Updates and Announcements
Today we have been joined by a brand new member, Anthony, who is currently working on one of SP's last remaining private projects, that of a revamped Southern Class 313, which will in some degree now fall under the BVETube umbrella. Another new member joined us today, Jvoan, who will also be assisting us in our train projects.
We will be showcasing Anthony's work on the revamped 313 very shortly.

Yeah, sorry about that. Thats how we in our team refer to him as an abbreviation; I forgot that we don't normally use this in regular communications.

Further work has been done on the 483 in recent times, but nothing yet to warrant a photo.

Re: BVETube Updates and Announcements
If I'm honest with you, this is probably one of the best OpenBVE projects which no-one from the OpenBVE/BVE community has ever heard off and I cant wait to drive these better LU/BR trains when they have been released. (I am the guy from YouTube BTW)

Re: BVETube Updates and Announcements
The team may work on a Class 230 for an Isle of Wight route. For those unaware, the Class 230 is converted D78 Stock, and a few weeks ago South Western Railway submitted plans to the Department of Transport to use modified trains of this class on the Isle of Wight. By removing some deprecated flood defence from the tunnels, they can get the clearance required to get them to work. Note that this may not happen, both this train being on the Isle of Wight, and the build project, and if we do it will be the only other exception to BVETube not working on British Rail trains. Possibly with another exception being Class 487 and the Standard Stock that was converted for the Isle of Wight (what was the class number on that?)
That being said, after the 483, focus will shift more onto the Metropolitan Line route. That being said, there will still be some train projects to be done, like the trains that will be necessary to build that run alongside the Metropolitan Line in eras ranging from 2009 to 1961. The models on the route, by the way, will be less detailed for performance purposes, than the trains that are driveable.

Thank you for the goodwill wishes!
For those wishing to know the latest on the Class 483; it is coming along nicely. The shape has come closer to completion and updates will be shown on the BVETube Facebook page.

Re: BVETube Updates and Announcements
It appears as if we have a division.
We are going to have to do a vote on this.
Should the associates of BVETube work on an S Stock, or should we focus on trains other than that abomination?
Trains that don't get that much attention with the new generation of train-simmers, like that of the R Stock, or P Stock?

Re: BVETube Updates and Announcements
Honestly, my suggestion would be to finish all or some of the projects you're currently working on before starting on anything else.
