Installing old MSTS-Addons
Hi there!
I've found OpenRails ( http://www.openrails.org/ ) and want to install all my old MSTS-Addons.
- German Railroads work
- ProTrain work
- X-City Addon works
- JNR 1 & 2 work
- KHP2 works
- Bridge Line works
- Severn Valley can't be installed. I click on the setup, but nothing happends. Start the setup as admin, with Win98 & WinXP comp., but no chance!
Has someone a tip how to install this addon?
Thanks a lot!

Re: Installing old MSTS-Addons
This is a new one on me. I looked at the site (http://www.openrails.org/) and it appears to me that the program is compatible with Microsoft TS material.
However, there's no mention of OpenBVE I can see there. And OpenBVE has never been compatible with any MSTS material (and vice-versa). Different animal altogether, old chap!!!
You can find links to the free OpenBVE program elsewhere on this site. For information on routes, you can start here:

Re: Installing old MSTS-Addons
I'll give you reasonable odds the installer is probably looking for the MSTS path in the registry and not finding it, as you've only got OpenRails installed.
MSTS registry entries:
http://www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/downloads-various/msts-registry-repairer.zip
Will take a look and see if I've got a Severn Valley disk in my stuff pile at some stage
Mildly off topic FWIW:
openBVE will actually load MSTS ACE format textures if you want it to.
Cheers
