Problem with PMs?

I seem to have had Private Messages, disappear out of my inbox. I've also had 4 emails today saying I had received PMs on this forum. But there's no new ones in my inbox.

I have the email bug reported a few more members, must be something on the host / server side. Definitely not this specific forum.
Regarding the disappearing pm's - I don't know what or when has been sent to you. Were they some old pm's?

The missing ones were about a year old or so yes.

Strange, that has never happene to me. the truth is, with the limited capacity we have, I was not even able to have messages older than a couple of weeks in my inbox. That is why I am making backups for myself... 
Might be some setting applied by the host for too old messages, or if you receive enough new ones, the oldest are deleted to make space for them. Either way I do not have any possibility to retrieve your messages.
