Help me with openBVE Mac Empty Help me with openBVE Mac

Post by Martin Heron Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:13 pm

Hello guys, hope someone on here can help.

I downloaded openBVE for Mac (the 'Auto Installer) as well as Mono, OpenAL and SDL which I then installed according to the instructions. I have also installed a route and a train to run.

However, I can open openBVE, BUT when I click on a route/train to select in in the window, openBVE closes with no error message.

Can anyone help?

What version of OS X are you using?

Also, is the user account on your Mac an administrator account?

I can confirm this issue on 10.7.3 as administrator. When starting OpenBVE via the Terminal, I get the following Error-Message:

Did you install OpenBVE on your Mac manually, or with the self-installer hosted on http://www.openBVE.org ?

Also, do you have the latest version of mono and SDL installed?

Will openBVE crash when you try clicking on any of the side buttons such as the "Options" button?

They all work without crashing. It only has a problem when you select the route. When you select it, it crashes before the preview window shows and before you get a chance to select a train without any explanatory dialogue.

Thanks for your ongoing help Smile

This is a very interesting issue being that the "invalid device window" error only appears on some systems, but not all.

Don't worry, we haven't given up. A solution is actively being researched.
