Re: Class 97
It's been out for quite a while... It's alright, if your into all that frothing and flailing and all the noisy gits associated with 37s!
Now give me a class 31 anyday... At least people who like them are chilled out and calm, and dont get tanked up on beer to the point they wanna fight someone for not likign their particular favourite locomotive!
Oh the 97, yeah. I gave a run when it first came out (nearing 2 years ago maybe?).

Could you possible re-write that in English please?
And a class 91? That's just another one of them un-characteristic electric things isn't it?
If you wanna talk Electrics, I'll have a Roarer please!!

Re: Class 97
There was a chief engineer fom Kerry built an electric train. It was no good, it only went 50 feet before the plug came out of the wall.

Haha! That story reminds me of the Shipley Glen Tramway - it's more like a lift on wheels than a tramway - do a google image search and you'll see what I mean.

These little oddities are fun though.

built to serve the local beauty of Shipley Glen, near Saltaire in West Yorkshire. At nearly a quarter-mile in length, the woodland ride provides a pleasant alternative to the steep path.
Well Im sure a quarter of a mile has a lot of scenary to offer that you couldnt see by standing and looking!

The theme park has all gone now! I wasn't too surprised as most of the rides were just plain dangerous - but it just had that historic ambiance, which was looming in an ever changing, modern world.
The dodgems are still rotting away where at the top end of the tramway, near to where the entrance of the theme park was.
