What kind of shots do you need?

We have 45135 based at the ELR and as a fitter I can get whatever close ups you need (fuel tanks, guages, bogies etc..)

Phil, your the answer to my prayers....being on the east coast, the journey time to anywhere that has a 45 is rather long....if I could get a side view, if its made up of several shots, it doesn't matter...bogie, fuel tank etc, possibly front view, I would be extremely grateful......many,many thanks

Ok mate, no problem. I hope to be going down next weekend to do some work so will head on over to where 135 is currently residing (used to be at Castlecroft on the adjacent road to the co-bo bogies I'd been working on but has been moved elsewhere). Fortunately not much external work has been done and likewise its not in a bad state externally (could have just arrived straight from 1980s service).

I'll take a look at the weekend and see what shots I can get  Very Happy

Would scanned copies of photographs be acceptable? Unfortunately I only have partial views of Peaks taken with my digital camera but have several photos of them pre-digital era.

Pleasure. Out of curiosity, and for future reference if there was a demand for loco images, would scanned photos be acceptable?

Jim, scanned images from photographs are fine, but not from magazines ,printed papers etc,.   printed images are made up of dots and are not easily manipulated..... apart from the copyright issue, photos are the best way to go...the type of picture is also very important.... I use photorealistic images in all of my objects wherever possible... I usually prefer pics taken square on and without any shadows..it doesn't matter how many pics are used to make an image, Photoshop works well...
