Points & Curves
Hi all
Im making Hull Train Station for my routes and im trying to get the track and platforms correct. Is there any way of making my curves actually looked curved? The ones in the route look jagged.
Also how do you make the train transfer across lines again? Because there is only one active rail do you have to 'imitate' it moving?
I cannot post a link due to only just registering here but if you search Hull Train Station in Google images, you will see the track layout.
Thanks
Phil

Re: Points & Curves
Use a track building utility such as "Switch" for curved rail items.
The train doesn't really transfer acroos running lines, it's an illusion. Your running rail makes the transition and the "visual" rails are positioned in accordance with the distances inserted in the .rail instruction. You will need to work out curve offsets when rails diverge.
See the appropriate tutorial link in "College of Knowledge" above, Learn all that Dennis Lance has to offer.

Re: Points & Curves
I think you can get a DOS emulator for 64 bit system. There was a post on here some time back where where Velaro had a similar problem, try and search it.
Re: Points & Curves
Indeed - you can run Switch under DOSBox, works a treat.
