Advanced Passenger Train - APT
I may have imagined it, but was there, at one point, an APT available for BVE?
If so, is it still floating around anywhere?

Thanks, hopefully someone knows where it can be found.
Reason I ask is I took my son to the Crewe Heritage Centre today and had a look around the real thing.

It does exists! But in my very own personal opinion, it's not really worth it. I dowloaded it probably a year or so ago from a then-gone page using the Wayback Machine. If I recall correctly, it was from the site where Class 350 HQ, a 9-car 158, Class 91 and some other trains were hosted. Sadly I can't remeber the name nor offer you the APT files because I deleted them lol
Hoping external links are permited. Here is a Youtube video (not mine) showcasing the train: youtube.com/watch?v=2t5kKD4hnXU
Here is the former BVETMD site, where I just found a cab-view-only APT is/was hosted: http://web.archive.org/web/20160316025809/http://bvetmd.org.uk/emudl.htm
And the exteriors: http://www.bve-terminus.org/bve-library/exteriors.htm

Re: Advanced Passenger Train - APT
The links are all dead I think. So the only way to get it is to ask someone for a copy.
Re: Advanced Passenger Train - APT
Uploaded Martin Corbett's cabview version with permission:

(I have full permission to rehost his stuff. I uploaded most of what I had a few years ago, but this one seems to have been missed)

Oh wow nice, but I guess the external view will remain unavailable

That's somewhat more difficult, and unfortunately unpostable.
It was primarily created by Alan Wheeler with input from Andy Thompson, and is entangled with various longstanding community 'issues' as a result.
Please do not post / link this here.

Community 'issues' lol
Those two actually broke all the rules as to the use of files!
Oddly totally ignored by so many on here which I have always found to be so disappointing.

With that, I feel this thread has run it's course, and I'm closing it.
Many things have happened in the past, and unfortunately we're unable to change them, and re-opening old issues is never helpful.

Let's try to focus on the present and future rather that rubbing salt into some pretty old wounds from the past.
I understand people might have been disappointed in the past, I was, too, a couple of times. Running in circles does not help anything, though.
