Confused about .ANIMATED sounds
I live under a rock so I'm rarely up to date when it comes to new features in OpenBVE.
There's one thing I'm really confused about and it's the .animated sound feature.
I know it works with objects but does it work with trains now or still not?
I heard people managed to make it work kind of so I guess it's still limited.
I want to add an additional loop sound in one particular car.ANIMATED file but it doesn't seem to work. Is it even possible?
If not can I have some clarification regarding .ANIMATED sounds as of today and if any updates are expected in the future? Thanks.

Re: Confused about .ANIMATED sounds
They don't currently work with train attached objects.
Doing so is likely to produce unpredictable results (IIRC they'll probably appear at the initial entry point of the train into the world, but don't quote me on that)
Restructuring the entire internals of animated objects is on my todo list (at some stage....), but not in the short-term plans.
Essentially, the whole animated object system is a minor structural mess.

n.b.
If you *really* want to hack them about, the TrackFollowerFunction, combined with the track position of the train, *might* work, but I've not tested that.
