Using OpenBVE in Debian Linux
Hello to All..
I am using Debian "MX18.3" Linux and I have installed OpenBVE 1.6.0.1 for Debian..
I have Installed NWM 2019 and a few trains like CL323 ..
I am coming up with 27 errors and 3 warnings...
So I would like to know where the text file that keeps up with this... I know one is a Plugin issue...
Now I have used OpenBVE 1.4.5.0 thru "mono" and the same route and train only gives me 2-3 errors...
Thanks for any input (other then use Windows hehehe)
Ed

Re: Using OpenBVE in Debian Linux
The 'easiest' way to find the log file is the following:
From the main menu, click on the link Report Problem (Found at the bottom left)
This should then give you a couple of options, to view either the most recent log or the most recent crash log
The warnings are almost certainly completely 'normal' and can be entirely ignored- 1.6.0.1 detects (and consequently corrects & logs) various minor issues that 1.4.5.0 does not.
(I believe the difference in warning numbers in your case is likely caused by the train.dat for the Class 323 containing additional invalid / unused acceleration lines, which IIRC cause 16 'new' errors)

Thank You "Leezer3"
You were correct the CL323 had alot of errors along with Plugin errors.. having to do with textures..
I shall just turn the error portion off and not worry about it..
Again Thanks

Re: Using OpenBVE in Debian Linux
To be honest, I keep on considering hiding the error numbers by default....
The only time they're remotely helpful is if you're developing a route or have a broken install, and even then they're not really much help.
Unfortunately, the BVE / OpenBVE file formats are somewhat of a mess, with a lot of room for flexibility and mis-interpretation.
Every time I find an edge case that's broken, it seems that an error gets added to the log somewhere in another unrelated route
