Class 195 OpenBVE
I recently found out about the class 195, im a northerner. i should know about this stuff. thank god those wretched pacers are going! its been too long. im fed up with us having them. so now were getting class 195 trains, did anyone make one for openbve? if so, maybe leave a link here? id like to play a northern route without a pacer just to make it a better experience like im back in leeds, no more buses for me .

Despite the 195 only now coming in to service I am currently working on a photo real cab thanks to CAF in Spain being very helpful.
They have provided me with a complete set of real sounds and helped me with any questions I may have.
Thanks to them also for providing me with all the info I need to make a very detailed external.
So it's not far away from release.
I may have said on my blog on my site that life is getting in the way of making new stuff but now everybody knows what I am actually doing.

Uhm... Your models are fab. But their fps isnt so good. Its quite bad. But they look great. Maybe make versions of your models that are for low end pc users? Look at Ben's 350, great fps. Max detail. Maybe take inspiration and build your models a similar way?

If you have a "low end" PC you must expect to have less choice when it comes to performance. Some trains (and routes, come to that) need more processing power. It's no use criticizing the makers if you're unfortunate not to have the kit to run stuff on. Be satisfied with what will work on what you have, it's not as if you've paid for anything, it's all free.
Or try and make something better yourself? I learned how because nobody was going to make what I wanted. The info and guidelines are out there.
Re: Class 195 OpenBVE
I just feel like others that really want to use the dlc and cant should be able to. its a good point though, if theres an issue you tell the developer. and it happens to be that, i have zero clue why people that have a not so good computer should miss out on quality content. i also noticed how literally ever vertices is a strip of texture. no wonder the fps goes low, may i suggest maybe finding a better way to from your models? look at pioneer trains for example, maximum detail and maximum fps, maybe look at how ben constructs his models and develop something with a similar style for your own models. its just so that all users can use the dlc and the models still look immaculate. its just an idea. wasnt intending on hurting anyone's feelings or anything.graymac wrote:Uhm... OK, put the boot on the other foot, "Why should people with a smokin' powerhouse machine have to pin down their ride to the lowest level? You see, it cuts two ways.
And I make my stuff how I learned from the info (see the "college" tab at top), I use a middling machine, not too special. But that's my way, you just can't tell other people what they should or shouldn't do, it's just not the way things work here.
Enjoy what works on whatever you have and forget the rest, or get a monster PC
Re: Class 195 OpenBVE
Im not saying pin it down or anything. Im just saying itd be nice to have a low end variant or something. I dont know why its a big issue me giving an idea. Again nothng bad is intended so we can cut the snappy 'how rude' thing. It was just an idea. The money ive been savung for years is not enough for a stupid monster pc. I dont even know how to work my own really except bve. Its not an arguement its an idea. A pleasant idea

Comments by followers of Pioneer Trains may not reflect the view of the owners, particularly with regard to other developer's material which is not relevant to the Pioneer thread here

There's fans, and then there's bipedal embarrassments. You don't always get to choosing them, do you...

Sometimes the selection needs to be helped a little bit.
Re: Class 195 OpenBVE
Right so, now we've had out fun and got the distractions out of the way let's keep further comments on topic, which is about the new CAF trains.
Here's one of several views on YT of the 195 entering service, many more there for those who are interested.

Re: Class 195 OpenBVE
To answer the first question there was a class 195 made for openBVE. I’m not sure who made it but it was a reskin of the TSC class 170 or maybe the voyager I’m not sure. The website for it also included a northern class 323 and a class 170 in northern livery but it was taken down but here’s what the 195 looked like:

I’m sure one will be released with the new cab that is currently under development.
