Package installation: Custom folder structure

Given the fact I have quite many trains and routes installed, I don't install them in the main directory. I have subfolders for countries (and in some cases like Japan even further subfolders based on quality) so I don't have to scroll through hundreds of often poorly named trains to find the right one. Would it be possible to add a feature to optionally chose a custom subfolder when installing packages?
