white screen at start
hello all,
after a few attempts I have installed bve(latest stable ver) on my laptop and eventually added a route and a train package from celtic trains with the pack manager. All seems correct, when I choose a route, it displays the picture in the start and selects the train automatically,so seems fine.
However, after pressing start, a new window opens, white, with what looks like a banner going from left to right(orange) as if its loading. It never gets any further than what looks like a printing sample page with a few squares here and there in different colours.
I have tried setting screen revolution lower, but nothing else.
I did once press enter and jumped out of my seat as the horn sounded lol.
windows 10 , free upgrade from win 7.
any suggestions?
I read some other posts about dll s but am not sure if that related to my difficulties, so I thought I would wait and see.
thank you.
maesy

Re: white screen at start
If the horn sounds when the program has loaded and you're seeing this screen, then it sounds like your graphics settings or your graphics card drivers are messed up. (Some cards don't like some settings)
Try turning off any antialiasing and anisotropic filtering if this is enabled as a first step.
Reducing the screen resolution may also help.
If this doesn't work, you'll need to try looking for an updated driver for your graphics card.

Re: white screen at start
it is definitely my lack of graphics I think,
I just have generic mobile intel series 4, reading up on it I need NVidia or similar.
Tried lower resolutions etc but no success.
Will have to come back to it when I acquire a new computer

Re: white screen at start
Have you tried these:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81507/Graphics-Drivers-for-Mobile-Intel-4-Series-Express-Chipset-Family
It ought to work, but openBVE does need a working openGL 1.1 driver to function, whixh IIRC the ones installed by Windows by default aren't
