Re: OpenBVE noir screen
If you can see the train, but no scenery, that usually suggests you've not installed the route objects in the correct place.
Can we have a link to the route and train are you trying to run?
Your openBVE version would be useful too

Re: OpenBVE noir screen
You may be trying to run a BVE 5 line on OpenBVE. BVE 5 uses a format that is incompatible with OpenBVE.

It shouldn't even load into the game at all in that case.
Please can we have a link to the download page for the version of the route you're trying to run?
If it's MidnightExpress1981's version, I'd suspect you're missing the object file download.

Until someone can take a look into the exact file you've downloaded this is mostly guesswork

Re: OpenBVE noir screen
Hang on....
LGV Normandy is a completely different route to Tokaido Shinkansen
Start with the basics:
LGV Normandy
This route would appear to have been designed for a very early version of openBVE.
I can see some signalling errors and a couple of other things, but it would appear to work OK here.

Start with the basics:
- Do you have any routes which work correctly? You've mentioned two so far.
- Please give us a link to exactly what you've downloaded. (Right-click on the web-address, select copy and then paste it here) Google results aren't always the same for everybody.

Est-ce que tu préféres parler/écrire en francais? Mon francais est un peu rouillé, mais peut-être ca serait meilleur qu'en anglais?
(I'm asking the user whether they prefer speaking/writing french, might help...)

Je pense que vous avez échoué à télécharger les objets pour cette route aussi.
Sil vous plait télécharcher cet fichér:
http://vps.bvecornwall.co.uk/routes/LigneTGV.zip
Il contient à la ligne et les objets. J'ai aussi réparé la signalisation.
English:
I think you've probably forgotten to download the objects for this route also.
Please download this complete file instead:
http://vps.bvecornwall.co.uk/routes/LigneTGV.zip
It contains both the route and the objects. I've also very quickly built correctly animated French signalling using the objects from the route.
(This file is an openBVE package, but can also be extracted manually)
Cheers

Re: OpenBVE noir screen
Just tried it, and the package loads perfectly without errors.
(Got the train, too from here: I'm sure it's fine though I couldn't fathom how to start the **** thing! There's no "keys" cheat panel in the cab.)
