Hi,

I have several trains with low volume compressor sound files (CpStart.wav, CpLoop.wav & CpEnd.wav) How can I raise the volume of these wav files so that I can hear the compressor when running?

Thanks,

Jorge

There's a freeware program called "Audacity" which is very useful for that task.

I have installed Audacity but I have a problem. After exporting to wav format, when I play the file there is no sound. How should I save the file?

You should be able to export WAV directly without additional plug-ins
The only issue I know of with export failing is this:
WAV and AIFF exports will fail without warning if you import a WAV or AIFF by reading it directly, delete the file and its track then export new audio to the same file name and location as the deleted file. Workaround: Set the Preference in the above link to "Make a copy" of uncompressed files when importing.
I've never had any trouble with it.

Finally I was able to edit the three wav files from a different train. What I have noticed is that the files double their size after editing them. For example, if the file was 50 kB now it is 100 kB. How can I mantain the same file size?
