Ben, all I'd say is, "Carry on, as long as it pleases you do do the job."
Never mind the other buggers! Of course, if you really don't want to continue it's entirely your shout. Just don't forget your work is well liked by a great many.

And as a "Newbie" to BVE I'd like to add my support to you Ben for all your creative work and effort. From my point of view I can't tell you how much pleasure all this is giving me and no doubt many others too. Let me paraphrase what Winston Churchill once said "Never in the field of Train Simulation has so much been owed to so few by so many"

I just had an idea. My website is running on a free hosting and I have so much space and unlimited bandwidth. So... shall I host the objects on my website?

graymac wrote:Yes, that is a good idea. Perhaps with a convenient link from here.
Sure, I would do that...
Re: Building bridges (and stuff)
I would gladly share my stuff with all of you. Good idea.

Re: Building bridges (and stuff)
I needed a foot bridge for my Mill Hill East station, which has two platforms in my route, so I changed an earlier bridge for the purpose:

Trying a more elaborate house north of Edgware. I will need it because it is very near to my route. Not completely finished, but it's taking shape:

Yes, you're really getting into it!

That's a good one! (although a bit modern for my route)

Yes, it's not quite suburban Finchley circa 1940s!! I passed it on to Derryck for the library as it's fairly universal for any modern european situation.

The same house, now finished, next to the railway North of Edgware (Purcells Ave.)

OK, I have received a first object for the database (from the one and only Mr. Graymac). So, feel free to submit your objects to Derryck-at-seznam.cz, the database will be regularly updated with your work. I might also add some of my work.
Re: Building bridges (and stuff)
OK, I will send my objects now

Received, thank you. Before putting your work to a public use, we should make a declaration about its usage to avoid further misunderstandings and sloppy interpretations. Suggestions?
Re: Building bridges (and stuff)
Great idea, with the stuff that just went on with Ben and Steve, the UK (Not including Ireland where the best Irish developer is) is having ups and downs while everywhere else settles along fine. Hungarians seem to work along so well their routes are amazing. If the UK could do this as well then everyone will be happy. More unmade routes In production etc. if we can be as good as the world is to bve in terms of time, commitment and sharing one others ideas, then bve can be a better place, even for new players.

Re: Building bridges (and stuff)
My work is public domain. Everybody may use it in their routes. The only things I ask are:
-My name should be listed in the list of credits. No need to specificate which files;
-My name should not be removed from the file;
-In case anybody would change anything about my file, that person should put his name under mine.

Re: Building bridges (and stuff)
Another nice one. That would work in a lot of UK locations.
On the useage, I'm prepared to donate to the library totally free of restrictions. I use CC licensing on kosher Ballyfeckin work, and I may use the donated stuff in Ballyfeckin, but if you get it via the BVEWorldwide Freeobj library it's totally no strings attached, unless Derryck want to include any conditions for admin reasons.

Re: Building bridges (and stuff)
I have put a few conditions up, but as you say, it is only for admin reasons... you can check it HERE.
Re: Building bridges (and stuff)
To be annoyingly pedantic: I suggest changing "specificate" to "specify".
and "channging person" to "person making the changes".
Good and refreshingly brief rules!
