A few route questions Empty A few route questions

1. I understand what a wall is, but what is a dike?

2, In RouteViewer, I see a "station end" block.  I can't find any documentation of station end. It seems to be autogenerated. What purpose does it serve, and how does it affect the sim. Is it possible to place it, or is it just an artifact?

Exactly the same, just think of it as a second wall Smile
Both of these date back to BVE1 days, and are repeated once every 25m (by default) block unless stopped.

Correct, it's auto-generated (Technically anyways), by the use of the .stop command in a routefile, combined with a .sta

A station has a 'stop-zone' , where the train may be stopped and a station stop triggered. Outside of this zone, you'll see the 'Please Correct Your Stop Position' message.
The "station start" and "station end" blocks provide a visual representation of this in Route Viewer.

In Scotland they generally use the word 'dyke' for a stone wall, around fields and farms.
