Re: Average computer specs?
Hi,
Main PC - i7-2.93GHz, 16Gb RAM, Nvidia GTX460 1Gb, 240Gb SSD, 1Tb HDD, Gigabyte MB, BluRay player/DVD burner, CoolerMaster case with 750W PSU and 27" Acer 3D + 23.6 LG monitors.
The device I do most of my work on is only a HP Netbook DM1. Unfortunately both machines run Windows 7 x64, so I have to run DOSBox or nick my daughters x32 OS laptop to use the older BVE utilities that are out there.
Bye for now,
Stephen.

Re: Average computer specs?
just to show some key information to you:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33 GHz 4MB L2 Cache
RAM: Kingston 1GB * 4 (DDRII 800) (2*Dual Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz 6-6-6-18)
VGA: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti OC Version 1GB GDDR5
MB: Gigabyte P35-S3L
pretty strange spec...
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
(or a Piriform Speccy snapshot at here: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/70Gt6QLDsspbyycVn8RROFr)
physical memory usage when opening Firefox with ~3 FB tabs, 3 BVEWW tabs, 3 other board tabs, 2 StackOverflow tabs, 3 article website tabs, and working with oB train plugin (i.e. opening SharpDevelop and 2~3 files in a project) is about 78-90% (yep, I should've been bought 8GB RAM)
at the same time, with the above heavy workload, I could still playing that heavy, "(display) card-burning" winsome's M-Train using exterior camera in openBVE by at least 22fps (avg. 26fps), with just a bit lag.

Re: Average computer specs?
1 gb ram?! Well I run the central on at least 2. I would say anything above 2 and it will run as smooth as anything.
Re: Average computer specs?
I think he said 1GB x 4...
By the way, my computer specs can be found in the banner below. :-)

I think you cannot run on dual channel mode when you have only one 1GB RAMDexter wrote:I think he said 1GB x 4...
(and I was using two 1GB RAMs when I'm still using XP. Furthermore, 4GB RAM space for a Win7 64-bit is just OK)
