New York City Transit (Q) Line and NYCTA Trains WIP
I am collaborating with Mr Railfan, Mudwrestle, and several others on the development of the NYCTA (Q) Subway Line and R38 Train.
The main development threads for the two projects can be found here:
http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=378.300 - Q Line
http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=82.150 - R38
I will periodically post updates for both the Q line and the R38 on this site as well.

More progress on Prospect Park, a very complex express station. There is still some work left to be done on this stop:

Much more progress made on Prospect Park.
Many more details such as the platform retaining wall, photorealistic overpass, and small real life details at the south end of the station have been added:

That's photorealism for sure, I really love it! I'm not into tubes that much, but this one will most surely land on my HDD!

Hey, DJ - those screen shots look tremendous - love the sunset behind Manhattan Bridge. Work of art my boy - look forward to its completion. Well done!

This screenshot shows the further progress that has been done on Prospect Park. Note the stack of ties, relay box, finished crew room, and railings.

Dayum. Looks really good. Best NYCT route I've seen yet. Can't wait for it. The R38 looks good too. Could we get more screenshots of it? And will it have a 3D cab?

The R38 will be released with a high-res 2D cab. A 3D cab will be attempted when resources for making one are available.buckysam wrote:Dayum. Looks really good. Best NYCT route I've seen yet. Can't wait for it. The R38 looks good too. Could we get more screenshots of it? And will it have a 3D cab?
The R38 has been retired from revenue service, and there is only one pair of the R38 cars remaining (Owned by the NY Transit Museum). When this pair is put on display, I will be able to get textures and information for making a 3D cab.
Here's some screenshots of the progress we have made on the Q line. The train featured is the R38, which is nearing completion:

Still looks good. Just curious but do you have any extra spots for developers? I am really interested in developing and helping a project like this would help me earn some experience so I can develop on my own.

Re: New York City Transit (Q) Line and NYCTA Trains WIP
Sorry for the long gap in updates. Rest assured that both the Q and the R38 are still under development. More consistent progress posts are being made here: http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=378.300

Unfortunately, the work that is being done on the Q line right now is so pedantic that to help out would require physically visiting portions of the line. Sorry...buckysam wrote:Still looks good. The bridge looks good. Are you going to add animated traffic to the bridge?

This work is nothing less than breathtaking! How many people are working on this object alone?

The Manhattan Bridge is being worked on by 3 people, including myself.Quork wrote:This work is nothing less than breathtaking! How many people are working on this object alone?
We have thought about this, and will do some R&D pertaining to it once we finish the rest of the bridge.buckysam wrote:The bridge looks good. Are you going to add animated traffic to the bridge?

Here's a look at what we've been working on since sunday.
This is 7th Avenue station, an old and dingy station in downtown Brooklyn:
More screenshots coming soon!

In case you wonder why so few people comment on those - I suppose they have the same problem as me; the dictionary doesn't know enough fitting words for "stunning" to not repeat ones posts over and over ;-)
