A small update
Hello everyone, Well I haven't really been up to much recently in terms of OpenBVE work. Due to me putting so many hours into the 'force'. So I think its time for a small update to keep the people informed of what is on the go at pioneer trains.
So the first thing that I have have a few messages regarding is the Leeds - London route, There is both good and bad news regarding this, the good news is that its still been worked on and is currently having all the curves added and cross overs etc, then once that is complete the OHLE and scenery will be added, but the bad news is i'm not the best at creating curves, I've mastered the train building but the route building is still a hard one for me to grasp, and the time I have been away means I feel like i'm having to re-learn the things I already knew so nothing has really been done. But once the curves have been added then the first phase will then be under way, this is to get the Leeds to Wakefield part of the route released, I've decided that i wont go into full detail regarding the the track scenery apart from 2 miles either side for main stations then maybe 500 - 1km for smaller stations, but main hi ways and bridges will still be mentioned and shown in game.
ON the train front there is not much progress either, Around February time I spoke to Joeyfoo and he gave permission for the class 390 and I started work on the exterior and its coming along well, compared to the current model offered from TSC which I think is now hosted on some guys well known site. The reason its taking time is because everything is animated, its one thing making something with blendr, but the animations are still done by hand and this is the time consuming part of developing a consist.
The class 180 is now complete and ready for download, the only thing is i'm waiting to upload a new site update to BVE-T but i have not yet got round to that either. some other consists are complete but as before they will be released on the newest update (to come shortly).
Now recently i have been doing the fun bit, i have now got all the cars lettered up and the door signs all up and running with a few little niggles to iron out, I've done it this way so that the users can freely edit the signs to their hearts content. as always some screenies are below.

Door signs and lettering are now added to all coaches, with the F and U been removable on a 9 car version of the train.
Front lights added with reflections, just awaiting to finish off the roof
Another picture of the 180 with the new temporary roof in place

Re: A small update
I am currently happy that Bve4Trains cabview trains and quite a few textures in the objects can be found in Pioneer trains products.
It's handy I made them, cabviews are quite hard to compile as are externals to be honest.
Any chance of some credits put on the Pioneer site?
After all it lets you avoid the really hard bit of train construction in BVE?
The 333 cab looks quite interesting.

your read me's are still there in the folders, and cabviews are hard to make, just like animations eh? sometimes one may feel the need to take someone else's hard work and play it that its their own, give and take and all that...
And there isn't any avoiding the hard work, I just choose to make externals and 3D cabs, rather than go for every bolt and nut on a bogie that then makes the train either way under perform or topple over before the game actually starts.
Nice blog by the way.

Why do people doing similar things so often have a tendency to hark each other?

This is nothing to do with doing something similar, I call it friendly banter but its been going for two years, you haven't been around long enough to know, but its a lot better now than it use to be
