How to find creators of C-Stock / cab of D-stock

My friend took apart an OpenBve C-Stock, attached a D-Stock cab and altered the textures.
The result is both unrefurbished and refurbished versions of D-Stock (with interior). It is quite realistic, and he seems to be releasing it soon.
The problem is, the original creators doesn't know this, which could cause potential copyright issues, which is why I would like to find them.

D stock cab was put together by me using Darren Carter's MSTS version, the C stock by Dan Floyd - do you have any screen shots you can post?
