All of a sudden - Route viewer and Object viewer not working

Anyone experiencing the same?

Yes, I was asking because if I am not mistaking good programmers know how to put "expiration date" of their software into the code...

I think that is inclining toward the paranoid. Exp date inclusion would be expected in commercial software but not in open access programmes such as this. If I may say so, it seems a rather uncharitable thought to express. Conspiracy theories are very destructive, you don't need me to name examples, at all.

No worries, I am still sane. It was just one of the thoughts that came around, along with my rabbit hacking the program. I'm not being paranoid (what's that sound and why is everyone staring at me???)

There's free software with expiration dates, btw. That would be e.g. the download versions of the online signal box simulation STS Stellwerksim (downloads not available for some time now due to extensive renovation of the system); used to make the users download the newest version always. This way people don't ask for support with weird questions which clear up only after some long investigation when it becomes clear they use some outdated version. So...

I was actually suspecting (or thinking, pick what suits you) something else, but that will apparently not be the case.

Well, you guys might well laugh at me, but today, it happened again...

Once is normal, twice is a co-incedence, three times is the time to worry...Have you looked in contol panel/administrative tools/event viewer/application, it sometimes helps in pointing the way to the problem..(assuming your using xp..)what about downloading a fresh copy, rather than installing the one you have on file.....regards

That is actually not a bad idea... I guess my MS Visual studio could do that...

SharpDevelop is opensource so you don't have to worry about VS.

I have a copy of VS from my coding lessons... why not use it then?

Before you go off and make yourself a lot of work, derryck, just think about it, how come you are the only one having this problem, surely, even the greatest coder couldnt even target an individual computer......I still get quite a lot of crashes using route viewer, but mine is down to system resouces.........regards

Well, I would just compile, it!s easy in VS... nothing else. After all, I can reinstall it every morning...
