Re: Brno BVE Website
Anyhow, I think the station was too empty and sad without a proper touch of a fragile human being... what do you think, should she bring any friends? (The girl is 1,75 meters tall, you can check the proper height of other objects )
Re: Brno BVE Website
The shadows I had in mind were much simpler- here's a rather crude example:
Without shadow-
With shadow-
The little bit of shadow round the base of the post and around the girl's feet helps to anchor the object to the ground; ties them together. It takes away that unnaturally clean interface between object and ground.
I admit I don't know what it would do to framerates!

Need more people? I have made some for you (and everybody). Left to Right: Cleese (2m), Palin (1.80m), Doutzen Kroes (1.75m) and another lady...

What are you going on about? I was asking about the opimions, whether I should continue producing people etc., I was not asking for anything perverted....

Yes, because her appearance is being tested. In the future, the people from her generation would also be placed on platform. But I guess I will give up on it, since np constructive feedback (apart from one) has arrived... to be honest I take the Obama thing as a silly taunt.
Re: Brno BVE Website
It is good to get some people on the platforms etc. I don't think the lady who had her clothes stolen would be very much use in most situations. Although I have a couple of Gardai in BWR who might arrest her and take her down the Garda shop for a nice cup of tea.

@busheyheath, oh dear, this can only go somewhere..
Wongie. derryck was not out of line, but the way replied was, keep your thoughts to yourself if you are going to be crude with your replies. Its not needed here.
The lady is ok, it makes her look 3d which is a bonus. =)
I see any more comments out of line users will be warned.

You mean Busheyheat's one I suppose... Anyway, I was trying to build up a person, who would represent a young girl (around 22) dressed up for summer time. Some more (including males) might follow soon.
Re: Brno BVE Website
Some of the passengers on my station platforms are just passers by taken in any town or place. Bus stops even. Tape a small mirror on your compact camera so you can hold it at waist height and see the screen. Then you can take pixs without anyone noticing what you are doing.

Re: Brno BVE Website
Yes, there's some good software around for doing that, but somehow, there's always a difference. In your model, the hip region doesn't look quite right. A candid picture such as Gray uses is (nearly) always going to look more natural. In a photographic studio, posing a model is surprisingly difficult, even when nature has done most of the work.I create my own virtual people...
I'd go for a candid photo, with a bit of image manipulation to preserve anonymity.

Re: Brno BVE Website
I know technically and legally you should get a model release form for permission to use someone's picture. But in practical terms wh's going to complain? Just as long as the pic is taken in a Public Place it's OK.
NO paparazzi stuff. please!!

What exactly is incorrect, please? I have a tool that can repair it... maybe it is her not standing straight, but a little bended?
Re: Brno BVE Website
Difficult to say, Derryck, but that's what gives it away to me. Most avatars I've seen have a similar failing. A sculptor or painter might be able to put it into words.

The upper curve should be less sharp, the lower should be sharper. She is looking like a vase, moer than a woman. Typical for these CG graphics.
