I gave your route a run and is much better than last time . However the start and the end does have very low fps but not as low as your previous version and some stuttering in some places. The loading at the start of 50 seconds is 10 seconds quicker than the last version. 

It took 50 seconds to load with 9-10 fps. After leaving the station I get 7-11 fps becoming 10-12 from 1000m dipping occasionally to 6-8 fps gradually improving to 20-25 by 1800m and 25-30 by 2000m. This continues though does dip below occasionally increasing further to over 30 at times from 2800m. I get 25-35 from about 3000m, then up to 40 approaching the tunnel and then to 50-60 near and through the tunnel. After the tunnel 50-58 fps which drops slightly to 48-55 and a bit jumpy from 4700m. After the bridge 46-53 drops to 40-45 from 5400m thorough to Senice. 35-40 after Senice drops to 24-30 through the tunnel. After the tunnel the fps goes down to 16-20 and down to 13-15 from 5800m (under the big bridge).

10-12 afterwards drops to 8-10 from 7700m, increasing slightly to 9-11 at Vrainov-jih. After this station 10-14 quickly becoming around 15. On approach and through Vranov the fps is 12-18 and 18-24 after the station and through the tunnel after the station. Then towards the end of the last tunnel it drops  to 17-20 and as low as 14 occasionally. From 11500m it is 15-17 fps and from 11800m drops to 10-15. 8-10 approaching and thorugh Lipnice nad Sivou and after the station 5-7 occasionally lower and with stutter. This increased to 6-8 just before Lipnice nad Sivou -Haje and thorugh the station. It’s around 6 after the station and 7 from 14700m. It is 8-10 from 1500m and 10-12 just before the tunnel. 9-13 thought the tunnel dropping to 6-7 towards the end of the last tunnel. 4-5 after the tunnel becoming 3-4 from 16800m , then 6-7 before Deblin and 6-10 thorough the station.

Well done Dex, it's just got a lot better. Results as follows, running on HP7800/Intel Core2Dual/Radeon HD7450/1960x1080 screen:
First indication of efficency improvements was the loading time - the route took only 25 seconds to load, much better than before.

fps at start was 36, increasing to 41 (and up to 63 at best) as train left town. Visuals were smooth with no stalling. One just noticeable, minor stall (fraction of a second) occurred after Senice, just before the motorway flyover.
Fps approaching Vranov-jih reading around 35.
Fps actually dropped to 22 approaching Lipnice, but with no stalling.
The new route section is excellent. Couldn't quite understand why a stop at Dolni-Skalky was needed? Is there a law about stopping to look at horses??
Best fps results after Lipnice were up tp 46fps, but no problems, the visuals were still smooth.

Deblin looks a lot more pleasant to live in than Dublin!!! I would probably like it there, I'm glad I don't live in the Irish capital.

Those wind turbines are a nice feature, we've got a few near my home. I would suggest they would look better a bit further apart (at least on the x axis if not the z for visual effect) as I don't think they're usually so close together in real situation??

Good work. The new part is up to your usual excellent standard and the entire route works well on my desktop machine. (Haven't put it on laptop yet, but will try and do that before too long).

The polygon count is now only 32,887, which is a massive reduction from the humungous 196,200 it was before!! The improvements in efficiency have not reduced the visual quality in any way at all, so this upgrade is a success.

@graymac: If your drawing distance is 1000m, the the stutter vbefore the bridge is a consequence of the DMU (the yellow one before entering Vranov-jih) being rendered at that point.

That is the case. Anyway, with this new version you've removed all the worst trouble spots that used to exist.
Haven't run in on the laptop yet, been tied up with a photographic project, concerning 50 cameras and a 250mb PDF file (don't ask!!!!) Very Happy

Update: Ran route on Laptop (Medion Akoya/AMD/Radion 4250/win7 32bit) using v1.4.3.0 Similar results to Desktop trial, though slightly lower fps, particularly near Lipnice nad Sivou, 17fps. Some slight jerks but nothing disastrous. Also, I was loading the route from a USB memory stick rather than off the HDD, which I haven't done before. So, quite pleased with the result - an noticeable improvement on the previous version.

Finally had time to do this!

Used version 1.4.3.2 on my Heinz 57 desktop.

I'll concentrate of the last part (13.4 Km onward) as earlier is OK, varies between 30 & 60 fps with some stutters and a stretch between 5.8 and 6.4 where I recorded between 8 & 14f fps.

Around 13.4 I had 11 to 15 fps and 10 at 13.8 (the missing station is still there). 14.2 had 12 to 14 fps whereas at 14.8 it had gone up to 30 fps. Back down to 8 to 14 fps at 15.8 Km dropping to 9 fps at 16.4 and then similarly all the way into Deblin.

I am using a new machine and have gave your route a run with the specs of:
CPU:Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 6500U (2.5GHz - 3.1GHz (Dual Cores) 1866MHz FSB, 4MB L3 cache)
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64 bit
RAM: 8GB DDR3L (1600Mhz)
Graphics: Intel (R) HD Graphics 520/2GB NVIDIA® GeForce® 930M Graphics

Using the Intel graphics:
Loaded in 15 seconds
17-19 fps at start,20-23 after station, then increasing from 1500m to 40-45 at 2000m, then 30-35, increasing to 35-40 at tunnel,50-57 in tunnel
35-40 after tunnel, 50-55 from 4900m.
38-40 on approach to and at Senice, 25-28 after tunnel, 15-18 from 7000m.
25 from Vraonov-jih, 25-30 into Vranov
35-43 after Vranov dropping to 25 at times in tunnnels, 20-30 after tunnels
15 at Lipnice nad Sivou, 10 to 15 after station and 15 at Lipnice nad Sivou - Haje
13-14 after station, 18-21 from 15000m
9-13 from end of tunnel at 16000m, 7-8 after tunnel, increasing to 11-14 on approach to Deblin and 15-18 at Deblin

Using the GPU graphics:
Loaded in 15 seconds.
60-70 fps at start. increasing to 70-90 from 1500m and 100-120 from 2000m, then 80-100, increasing to 150 at tunnel
100-120 after tunnel,80-90 from 5200m and 80-100 at Senice
80-90 after tunnel,50-60 from 7000m.
60-80 on approach and thorugh Vraonov-jih, 80-95 approaching Vranov
75-100 (100 at times) after Vranov, 90-100 thorough tunnels,50-60 after tunnels
70-80 near Lipnice nad Sivou dropping to 40-70 at Lipnice nad Sivou
30-40 after station, 35-40 Lipnice nad Sivou - Haje
40-45 afterwards increasing to 50-70 from 15000m, 70-90 through the tunnels, then 40-55 towards the end of the tunnels
22-30 after tunnel, increases to 28-40 on approach to Deblin and 40-60 at Deblin.

I am always wondering where do you guys get the values such as 120fps. Mine won't go over 60 even though the hardware is pretty much capable of that. It might be a matter of some restriction in the settings. I think.

I can't remember whether it was pon this Forum or a previous one but I reported quite some time back now, when I first got into using Memory Pens that I had ran OpenBVE from Memory Pen and noticed quite an increase in frame rates. Discussed it at the time but never found out why this should be so. 

I also got frame rates up to 4-500 by changing a setting, which I can remember now and don't seem able to find in the option setting. However someone replied, again I can't remember who, at this moment, but they explained that these readings are a bit false as 60 is the normal. My latest computer is still giving me frame rates in the 3-400 rate.

 I have always been of the opinion that as long as Frame ates are in double figures, above 20 that should be OK. Thinking of film speeds and that 24 frames per second is considered good then any figure near to that in OpenBVE should also be acceptable.

Dexter, no trouble running your route except for some slight stutters at times using the Intel graphics and low fps at the end but not like I had it before. No issues when using the GPU with fps about 3 times higher than before.

If I remember correctly it's been said if have you Vertical Synchronization enabled in the Openbve options fps it is limited to 60 fps, the refresh rate. Unless it is something your graphics does, maybe there is a setting. I think that it is fine if fps is at least 20 and I don't any see visual difference between 30 or 100 fps.

As long as it is able to run on Intel HD I know I am fine. Very Happy  It could indeed be the vertical sync, I think I have got it enabled. I will check it during the weekend. I mean, I am sure the GTX970 I have got is capable of doing more than 60fps on the route.

I though I give it a go on the Intel and I was surprised how well it ran though it has quite a strong CPU which would help. But it may give a good idea of how it might run on a lower end machine with a GPU. It's only at the end of the route that it not quite as good with the low fps.

Yeah, the stuttering at the end (or drop in fps, not necessarily stuttering) is caused by the dense vegetation, especially the bushes. They have been rewritten, but they are still a bit heavy on resources. Much better compared to what they were before, though. Smile
The i7 does definitely help, although I am surprised to see a 2-cored i7. I thought they are only made with 4 or 8 cores. Well, learned something new then. Surprised

On my machine with the low fps at the end of the route, movement along the route when driving the train is not smooth but it was a lot worst before as you say.

I was actually only after a i5 which they didn't stock anymore (apparently they very few of the i5), so I had to get the i7 I got one with a AMD CPU. This i7 is virtually the same as that i5 except for the CPU. It was actually almost the same cost as the old machine which is weak in comparison to this one.

I am confused - so the i7 is better in performance than the i5, or than the AMD? Smile
I have got an i5 myself (4690), which has 4 cores and is pretty powerful. Smile I think you have made a good choice, that i7 looks decent.

I was after a i5 which I was not able to get as they didn't sell it anymore (which surprised me) apparently because very few were sold. So being after one with reasonable graphics I had to get the i7 unless I get a AMD which didn't interest me.
