An object library definitely is a good idea, I agree. But from an administratirs point of view, it might be a bit difficult to create it here. The storage itself is paid for and I also need to find some solution when it comes to hosting the files (I mean setting an acces to them).

And by the way, it is good to know that we have made a new person try to step out and create new things. It is a good feeling, so thank you for that. Wink

Got a lot of billboards, station hoardings and station furniture to donate if this is to go ahead.

So am I. I have made several objects that could be used in other routes.

Building bridges (and stuff) - Page 3 Kilgarvan1

Work continues on the main line from Waterville. This station shows the fabricated metal fencing, billboards, signage and the buildings made for this station, which is adjacent to a large airport (think Howth & Donaghmede). The totty on the poster has actually been banned by the ASA 'cos the old bag was too heavily photoshopped. That's nothing, the whole darn STATION was photoshopped, by me!!!

As always Gray, it looks fantastic as ever. I've always been interested in linguistics and languages in general, so if "Stonyford" translates to "Ath Stain", "Stain" I presume means "stone" (Stein in German), so what does "Ath" mean? Keep up the great work.

Cheers,

Another footbridge, made to fill the gap between two dead-end streets north of Edgware and built according to the original plans (never built actually). It is a walkaround thing, so it may be viewed from any angle:

Nice detail!

Stonyford - Ath Stúin. Stone can take that form or use the word "Cloch" as in Greystones Na Clocha Liatha. Atha is ford, and comes up frequently. Swinford, Co Mayo - Beal Atha na Muice; Dublin Baile Atha Cliath for instance. I do insist on using the Irish names wherever I can, as it is standard practice for Irish Rail to do so.
Gaelic is a sod to get to grips with and I 'm by no means proficient in it. German, by comparison, is a doddle. Wirklich!

I should point out that with the return of Da Kweepy Wabbit, the rules now state that this is an English forum and only English should be used, and you don't want to upset him. Evil or Very Mad albino scratch

Anyway, here are the new curves and a signal, with some train or other Sad

Those curves are great. A vast improvement on the jaggy bve2 rails. It shows there's still loads of life in the old routes yet.

They weren't jaggy; dontchaknow we're over-run with metal thieves? Anyway Mr Slavedriver GrayMac, I decided to do the straights too, and this is my first ever set of points, which I suspect need staggering, and now I'm off down the chip-shop. cheers

Building bridges (and stuff) - Page 3 Corners

Illustration of jaggy curves in old BVE2 route. Of course we all have to start somewhere. The work improves as we gain knowledge on the journey. Almost the first thing I noticed driving that route was the terrible z-fighting at the first crossover! So it is worth giving it a makeover and ironing out the creases. Well done for a good start.

Route Viewer should work OK as long as its in the same folder as the BVE program (ditto Obj Viewer). I'm using Route Viewer v1.2.11.0.

Only the potato trains over here, Ben. And we're too broke to buy any more!

Here's another download. No textures needed, a set of rugby goalposts to place by the track. Turning off now, I've had a 14 hour day shifting feckin great lumps of geography in the next route addition.
