Are my frame rates correct?
On the latest nightly build
Windows 10 64bit
8GB DDR3 Ram 1600
160GB SSD
I5 3570k
R9 270X
North London Line
Class 313
Frame rate inside cab at start is 25 but then stays the same but at times goes up to 35fps at a maximum but never stays at 35fps
Roughly the same outside
(Settings)
Vertical syncration Enabled
Full Screen ticked (1920x1080)
New render Ticked
Unload used textures ticked
700M view distance
Anisotrophic Filtering
Level of 0
Level of 0
Motion Blur disabled
Just wondering if this is normal?
I have the latest ATI Radeon driver and software and have it set to Gaming
Kind regards
Raymond

Re: Are my frame rates correct?
They don't look too bad. I'll have a look and give you some numbers from my end tomorrow. (GTX 1060 is reasonably similar)
Unfortunately, the North London Line & the other BVE Western Reigion stuff is some of the most detailed bits available for OpenBVE.
Your biggest issue is probably at the minute lack of RAM, followed by CPU. A faster graphics card will very likely make little difference; The game engine is still limited in other places.

Cheers,
Played around abit, Turned V Sync off , And put Smoothness to sharp and put Anisophic filtering to 16X and now getting 40fps minimum which is already better, Not noticed much change in graphics to be honest too

Re: Are my frame rates correct?
Vsync off will always give you better FPS, as with it in, it attempts to maintain a constant FPS to match your display.
On the flip side, it *should* be smoother with it on. (although it would be likely be targeting 60fps / multiple thereof (standard Windows resolution of 60hz refresh rate), so might not be too helpful in this case)

Re: Are my frame rates correct?
Some reason i am using my TV as a monitor and when i load up Openbve in full screen it automatically goes from 60hz to 50hz , but if i play in non full screen it stays at 60hz , might invest in a proper monitor lol
