Jubilee line Phase 3
Well it took a lot longer than was originally hoped, but I am happy to finally say it is now released.
I hope you all enjoy it.

Note that, some newer versions of Openbve do seem to cause Graphical glitches, but I am sure most people in this forum are aware of what doesn't and what does work for them now.

Amazing Work @AD1992 , Definitely if not the most detailed and highest quality route available in Openbve!
Thanks so much for this!

Re: Jubilee line Phase 3
Any chance of getting a bit more explanation (maybe in the manual) as to how the "T" speed limit boards work?

Sorry that must have been something I missed.1996 stock stalker wrote:Any chance of getting a bit more explanation (maybe in the manual) as to how the "T" speed limit boards work?
T just means resume normal line speed.
Technically the underground doesn't have a normal line speed, so just go as fast as you want, but obviously not to the point where you fail to stop.
Thank you for pointing that out, i'll see if I can add that into an update to the manual.

Good job on this. Needs a lot of practice to master stopping correctly! Detailed manual included is a must and a wonderful piece of work

Thanks, I tried to make the manual informative but not too informative. I just wish more people would read it..

I'm a long time lurker who occasionally dips back into BVE if a new route is released which takes my fancy.
After downloading and running your route (and the Central Line) I felt compelled to register to this forum and doff my cap for your efforts and this truly phenomenal work.
It's absolutely brilliant. I only noticed on my second run just how incredible the attention to detail is, with the departure boards on the platform actually keeping up with the position of your train, ie the countdown in mins to changing to 'TRAIN APPROACHING' to refreshing once you have departed.
Splendid, splendid stuff!
Having first discovered BVE back in 2001 your line has seen my interest in the simulator come back!

I really like it. The sounds in the 1970s/1930s era segments are magnificent.

Re: Jubilee line Phase 3
Upon playing, I did notice an issue with the Charing Cross scenario. There's no way to know whether Baker Street's platform is clear in time. The only signal at caution is the penultimate one before Baker Street, at which point it's too late to even use the emergency brake to prevent disaster. Now of course this is because OpenBVE doesn't (yet) simulate signal overlaps in the way LT implements them, but it does sort of render the scenario unplayable. I've crashed into the other train two times: once when motoring full speed through Bond Street, once when applying the LU rulebook which IIRC states that a train passing through a station has to brake to 5mph.
also, I still haven't found the correct point to start braking when approaching Baker Street, it's the only station where "brake once you see the light" isn't the right technique.

Re: Jubilee line Phase 3
Yes as it stands, the current signalling version in the empty stock run is temporary. It was a question of putting something out sooner or later and we both wanted to conclude Phase 3.
We are looking at Hopefully soon releasing an updated version with a functional LT signal system.
Approaching Baker St is fine just don't go over 35mph. Furthermore on the empty stock run you are behind another train in service so you shouldn't be travelling too fast in the first place..
I have actually been considering making a route learning video if you think that would help?
