Jubilee Line Phase 2
It gives me great pleasure to finally announce Phase two of our Jubilee line route.
This route now runs From Stratford all the way to Waterloo, with a closed Southwark. As it was in September 1999, so it is here.
As well as the main run you can take over a service that previously terminated at North Greenwich, just to give the route more playability.
I strongly suggest that you practice your braking points as there are a few fast sections now and get used to the improved stopping method. It is somewhat easier to stop at the marker now however still realistic.
Also as before read the manual there have been a few changes to the train.
Any problems, glitches, troubleshooting, post in this forum as usual.

Have fun.

Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
Hi I played the route. Everything went well except I had no sound. Any idea what I did wrong? Also, I’m glad now that the 96 stock has a better shape

Hi, the route is incredible! Everything works, expect there's no sound. Is there a solution to this?

Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
Are you running a current version of openBVE from http://openbve-project.net ?
I haven't tested this yet, but IIRC the sounds are worked off the train plugin, which in turn requires a bunch of newer features around sound placement and stuff.

Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
There is another possibility as well that your sound options are not set correctly.
Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
Yeah I’m wondering about this plugin thing. See, I use a Mac and I know these plugins aren’t really compatible for Mac but I’m actually able to drive the train and set it up, though I seem to have problems with the fact that the trains tail lights are always on at both ends, when changing the destination, the display does not switch from Stratford and of course, the no sound error. Now I believe this must be a train error because when running the train on a different route the sounds don’t play there either however for the older 1996 stock that came with phase 1 the sounds seem to be working fine. Is it possible to fix these errors?

Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
Try turning up the number of allowed sounds from the Options and see if that helps.
I'll try and test on a couple of boxes and see if I can see anything interesting in the debugger

I have 1.5.3.7
and the number of sounds allowed is set to 16, if that helps anyone..

Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
I've just tried the following combinations:
All work correctly here.
Any chance of more details from those who aren't having any luck with the sounds please?
Specifically:
- Windows, 1.5.3.8 (64 sounds)
- Windows, current nightly (64 sounds)
- Ubuntu 15.10, 1.5.3.8 (32 sounds)
- High Sierra, 1.5.3.8 (32 sounds)
All work correctly here.

Specifically:

- openBVE version
- Number of sounds
- Install path to both route and train
Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
I tried installing the route again and got this message for all of the sound files from the Railway and the Train folders:
Could not extract "JLE Phase 2/Railway/Sound/Jubilee Line/ct amb.wav" from the "JLE Phase 2 copy.7z" archive: The archive file is corrupted.

What are you using to extract it with?
Try updating your extraction app as a first port of call.
If all else fails, I'm sure I or Ap1992 can stuff up the sounds somewhere temporarily.
I used the current version of WinRar with no errors, but unfortunately, I deleted the downloaded file else I'd try some other apps

Problem solved! I tried using WinZip to extract the files and everything now works. Thanks!

Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
This is a really nice route, so much detail.
I need to have a clear out of my routes folder though, I have 4 different versions of the Jubilee...

Just loaded this route up in Route Viewer and had a good look at it, I'm seriously impressed with how detailed Stratford is, even the bus station has been included!

Southwark is closed because during the Phase 2 opening of the JLE it was not ready for public use.
So as it says in the manual trains are non stopping until further notice.

Re: Jubilee Line Phase 2
Movingmillion wrote:As I mentioned above, phenomenal stuff as usual.
Thankfully only two ponderings this time:
Will you have animated models of a certain Metropolitan Line train when you get to the outside section?
How on earth do you get such high quality sounds from announcements that went away more than a decade ago?
1. Possibly
2. Just lucky I guess.
