Rotating object Empty Rotating object

Post by leyland1195 Wed Dec 04, 2019 2:43 pm

Hi Guys,

I have just created a lineside relay cabnet and loaded it into my route,

Currently its facing the oncoming way ie I can see the front of the cabnet, How would I rotate it so it faces the side of the track instead? ie turn it 90 degree ,

Is this something I need to enter/edit into my route code? or do I need to edit my object code to achieve this?

Many Thanks

Ray

If it’s a single use object you can simply add the rotate command in the object file, if it’s going to be used multiple times then you can change the command in the .freeobj placement.

I believe this forum has a cracking set of route building tutorials in the college section.

There are two ways. Which you use depends on a few things.

If you want the object rotated the same amount each time you use it in your route file then I'd suggest doing it in the object .csv file using this at the end of your file:

RotateAll,0,1,0,90

Which rotates the whole thing 90 degrees around the y axis at the origin.

Alternatively use:

freeobj(trackref;objref;xpos;ypos;90)

All details are at the openbve website under the developers tab.

Good luck with your route.
