it was the first pilsner beer in the world, and it's bottom fermented.
I'm not drinkin' anything that's been fermented from someone's bottom!!!

Photos of 31466 working the diesel diagram on Thurs 5th April, at the Dean Forest Railway, and a few kettle photos, from the Severn Valley Railway, after visiting the line with a friend. Oh and 50049 back at Kiddy, with her three-piece mini-snow ploughs!

You call that ale? It's not even "bier" it's lager mate!
I'd even take Leffe or Bavaria or something like Staropramen over that!
Ale should be dark brown, or black, in a real pint glass! And taste of malt and barley!!!
Yum, a decent stout or porter please sir!

You know something? He's right!
Nothing better than a pint of plain after a ride on the Dean Forest railway. Alas, when I lived in the forest, 15 years ago, the pubs in Lydney were crap though there was a decent drop to be had at Whitecroft and Parkend. Probably all different now.

Well I should imagine Parkend do a decent beer, there's only a pub, a bike shop and a couple of houses there isn't there?

Re: Shameless Plug pedned (Jamie Course) photo gallery
I forgot to post this yesterday, despite uploading it to Facebook...
I was playing around with some HDR software, and managed to create a very surreal, all most oil painting effect, picture of Castle Heddingham station on the Colne Valley Railway... Some of you may recognise it from the latest Daniel Radcliffe film, as it was one of the 2 railways used to film the scene on the train.
The image was created from 3 photographs, with different exposures (+1, 0 and -1 exposure steps).
And yes I know about the "ghosting" chimney pot on the roof, I just didn't fix it because it wasn't supposed to be a perfect picture, and it was just experimenting with some settings, more than anything.

Sorry to keep posting photo links... BUT I was at Rushden today, where 31206 was working brake van rides, and there was a small gathering of classic road vehicles, including a stream roller, some mini-steam things, some classic cars, motorbikes and a vintage fire engine.
Obviously I havent uploaded photos of each and every things. But heres what I have uploaded (mainly 31206 to be honest).
But please feel free to have a look!
