Shameless Plug pedned (Jamie Course) photo gallery
Not sure how many of you may remember me from any of the other incarnations of this forum (BVE Exchange, BVE Terminus, TSC etc etc)
But some of you may be aware of my photo gallery, others may not... So well here's a shameless plug of my site, for those who dont know it, or haven't seen it in a long while!!!

Ok so I was out in the freezing cold, stood in an inch of snow or so, tonight, for some night shots of some 37s at Birmingham International. But I feel that's paid off for the images I got!
Oh and theres a couple of pics from Jan in there of 31563 as well.
Enjoy

Well a bit of fun was to be had on Sunday...
First went to the Peak Rail, but the 31 had a problem with a leaking air pipe, so was substituted for the class 44
So it was decided, last minute, that we would be going to the East Lancs railway's diesel gala (although we only got their for the last couple of runs).
There are some photos here:

I've had a pretty good weekend so far.
Friday was spent at the Mid Norfolk Railway's diesel gala. Mainly for my dose of 31235, which sounded in great form. Some excellent thrash from here.
Saturday was spent at Llangollen's diesel day, again for a class 31 mainly, as D5580 (31162) was used on 3 trains plus the ex 19:00 beer-ex... Again some top thrash, especially up the 1 in 80 gradient between Llangollen goods loop and Berwyn, and the 1 in 135 through the single bore Berwyn tunnel!!!!!
Oh and I got my hands on 6 real ales, from the beer-ex to try!
Well here's why you came here, photos!

Oh, before I forget, also in the March folder are photos from the East Lancs railways diesel gala earlier in the month!

Very nice, even though I do not know these engines in detail, the photos are just beautiful.

You see, 'modern traction' is boring to me. It all sounds crap, has no character and is just a bit boring. You tell me one thing that has been built in the last 20 years that can match a class 50 or class 37 or even a class 31 on both character and hellfire thrash, and ill give you a cookie....
You see there isn't anything. Infact, no locos have even been built in Britain since the class 60s!
BRITISH MEAT! BEHIND BRITISH TRACTION!

Real ale- something I really miss since moving from Sheffield to Tasmania. It's as rare as hen's teeth in rocking horse droppings here.
Even a picture of an empty pint glass of cask conditioned, hand pumped beer would be good...

I second that comment by Egg!! I used to enjoy a few proper ales when I was in England, and though I'm not as far away as Tasmania, there's no proper ale in Ireland. The Guinness is fine enough but very different from the Arkells, Donnington, Hook Norton, Wadworths, Theakstons . . . . . . . . .

I'll have it then- after all, it was the first pilsner beer in the world, and it's bottom fermented.
Cheers, Derryck!
