Basic interiors for train objects or flat textures
Hello all,
Another division within the team so I ask for outside opinions. So, for all non-affiliates of BVETube, should (some) static train objects have interiors, preferably basic, or should all static train objects that may be next to the train being driven have basic 3d models with no visible interior at all?

Depends on what can be seen and at what speed. A train seen through between columns in the tunnel at relatively high speed need little decor. Those passed at low speed or seen at station need a more detailed approach.

I believe what he is referring to is the fact that on the old CDMPJ routes like the Metropolitan Line some train objects have open doors like the one pictured. Is it worth doing something like this or leaving them fully closed. I believe these trains would be good to have at big stations like Baker Street.

I'd also say that one of these trains would be perfect at Watford Met, for the track right alongside the main running track.

Re: Basic interiors for train objects or flat textures
Our team have officially decided on a mix of both for different parts of the route.

Although it would be preferable for realism for it to have interiors, it is best for framerates and such to have a mixture

A lot of our recent developers have come in from America, and we are amazed by their skill, and the advances they have made for NYCTA.

For all members, we are currently reworking some of our A60 models in order to make them more suited to the route.

I’d say use basic interior trains for ones at Baker Street and maybe a couple of other stations with island platforms because the trains with basic interiors will have their doors open

This should be the best move forward. Thanks to our team, of course.

For all other members, we might do some based on this style, and some others based on textured insides only.

Variety is better than the same thing all the time!

Also, when will the train (not the route) be released?

Re: Basic interiors for train objects or flat textures
Indeed. it is for this reason that we will be mixing between them for different circumstances.
