Island Line gets an upgrade!
All,
Following the release of my Isle of Wight route, I've been working on a little upgrade.
I've noticed a few posts on the other BVE forum, regarding curved platforms, increasing the curve radius has negated the need for curved platforms, unless you zoom in considerably, the platforms being straight objects really isn't obvious.
All in all, so far it runs smoother and is easier on the eye.
Anyway, a before and after... WIP of course

Following the release of my Isle of Wight route, I've been working on a little upgrade.
- Upgraded scenery, using object construction tips gained from the first release, I'm creating a more realistic scene, without too much detriment to frame rates.
- Resized most bmp files to power of two sizes
- Increased the radius of the curves around the station areas from 800 to 2000 curve radius, giving a more realistic look to things
- Proceeding on to Smallbrook Jn

Some are mine, a lot are from the object download page of www.bveklub.hu - they give a really realistic look when you add a bit of fog.

Done some work to Brading station including adding benches, canopy improvements, enlarging the curve radius and building the extension towards Smallbrook and Ryde.

The current version can be found on my website (click), the screenshots in this thread though are WIP, so not yet available.
Re: Island Line gets an upgrade!
First bit of work I've done for a few weeks, I've got the errors down from 453 to 0! It seems I made a few mistakes while coding the objects for Smallbrook, so I've rebuilt it properly.
Re: Island Line gets an upgrade!
Happy Easter everyone!
Thought I'd better post something here - been a busy few weeks so not really had any time for BVE, but I'll try to get a release together soon.
Thanks for your patients.

Re: Island Line gets an upgrade!
As usual, I started doing a bit of work to the IL and got totally side tracked...
This was going to be for Ryde St Johns Road, quite pleased with it however!

This route is wonderful, and I'm escpecially happy that the objects from www.bveklub.hu have proved useful for such a nice project.
