Re: West Horton Trams
Based on the signals, both Croydon Tramlink and Nottingham NET signals are the same?
It's called standard uk tram signalling, I can make it if you want.

Re: West Horton Trams
Have a crack by all means Ben, there will never be too many driveable trains for BVE! And considering we have no trams or very few at present, it would be something different. Have a go at a different style of tram if you fancy, whatever you can cunjer up, I can send you some loading guage dimensions if you want then you have something to work to? Such as platform height, max width and pantograph height, that kind of thing.
Shaq, yeah if you fancy having a go at that then please do, I wouldn't know where to start when it comes to signalling, I would know how to implement it into the route but the building and animating the actual signals would be lost on me.
Thanks for all your interest guys, its really spuring me into building this.
Kindest Regards
Tom

Re: West Horton Trams
Ok, I will send you some bits across Ben, I am still going to work on the one I have begun but by all means use that as some sort of base or add bits to it or whatever you fancy.
The one main thought I have at the moment is I have a front facing car (the one in the screenshot at the beginning of the thread) and a centre car, a smaller vehicle that holds the pantograph and a bogey beneath and then I need to create a rear facing car like the front car. Is there a quick way to turn it all around in Object Viewer or is it a case of rewriting the whole thing?
Thanks
Tom

Re: West Horton Trams
Yeah that'd be brilliant Shaq, cheers.
Heres what I've just spent half hour or so knocking up:
Sure I can find a space for this somewhere on West Horton! Still a work in progress obviously.

Nice! These objects make me feel like making a start on the line side objects on HS2. I'd have made a start on those earlier had it not been for setting up the OHLE - plus I think I also need to decide on what buildings - outside of parts of the M1 emerging through the trees and/or running in and around the route - would be the type that one would see line side on HS2...

Re: West Horton Trams
It's already released and in one route. You gotta find it
(this pic from the latest WIP shows an updated Muck Donalds - the existing one only views from one side. So find it and have a go at improving it, to see if you can!!)

You sure it is not DUCK DONALD?
By the way, Tom, you made me browse the Internet for a pizza service.

Did you include a drive thru?
@Tstageman
Thanks to joey I now have an animated handle for the 3D cab but If I want to create the 3D cab, I will need a plan of what the cab will look like.
Thanks
Shaq

No, but a more recommended feature would be a DRIVE PAST!

Re: West Horton Trams
Not much else to update on at the moment folks, however I may have a few screenshots a little later on this evening...
I have a little problem at the moment though, I have a 5 car tram in the workshop but I need to be able to define how long each car is as they are all different, how can I do this? I've looked in the train.dat file and the .dat file of various other trains but any way that I use it always comes up with an error whenever I try to load the train in Open. Any ideas?
Many Thanks
Tom

Re: West Horton Trams
Its the extensions.cfg file where you need to specify your car lengths. This file takes priority over any car length in the train.dat and permits you to have as many different length cars as you need.
