carXMLconvertor ?

I did the download of your July 14 latest version program on yesterday.  This new program does the work good for me.
I do have the question of the new file with this programs folder, it is named
carXMLconvertor.exe

I did click on this file run and the error does display
car XMLconvertor.exe has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop work correctly.
Please close the program

How does this program run and for what use?

Thats interesting, it ought to work (it does locally), will have to try the auto-built version locally......
Will try and sort tomorrow evening anyways.

What this is:
The most recent build contains the first part of the implementation of an XML based replacement for the train.dat etc.
CarXMLConvertor should (at the minute) convert a sound.cfg to a sound.xml

I haven't got as far as writing any documentation for this at the minute either, but the later comments should give a basic idea of what this is

OK, current build has this tool fixed

I'll try and write up a complete set of documentation on the sound.xml format this week, but it should be reasonably self-explanatory.

I did install your version of 17 July.
I did try again carxmlconvertor.exe program with sound.cfg and train.dat and it did now run
though the [horn] three sounds do not work in train test run with this new sound.XML?
The openbve program main of the version 17 July does work well for me.

Issue fixed

I did new install your version of 22 July.
I did try again carxmlconvertor.exe program with sound.cfg and train.dat and
it is better
[horn] primary does now work good from sound.xml
[horn] secondary does now work good from sound.xml
[horn] music does play to end though can not interrupt off with another key press
as it did work with sound.cfg old file
