Your Thoughts on the Warning Bar System Empty Re: Your Thoughts on the Warning Bar System

I'm inclined to question the need. The incidence and number of posts which require punitive action is very small. Such a system is (potentiallly) an encouragement to trolls. I believe it is better to warn offenders by PM and if the advice is ignored and a ban is unavoidable, then they can just disappear.

I think Gray is right. TBQH: I only saw the posts about the incidents, never the incidents themselves. In other words, it would seem the situations are always resolved fast and quietly. It should be kept this way. The warnings bar on the other hand could invoke another effect: There's a german saying "ist der Ruf erst ruiniert, lebt's sich gänzlich ungeniert" (with a ruined reputation one can live unabashed).

"ist der Ruf erst ruiniert, lebt's sich gänzlich ungeniert" (with a ruined reputation one can live unabashed).

And the living proof of that is to be found in Irish politics  jocolor

Guys, there is no need to panic. The original intent was to have it there just for the staff team as a reminder, since we are all just humans, and we do forget.  Smile  There is nothing to watch out for is...  albino

Anyway, I found a way satisfactory for both sides, so it won't bother you anymore. Smile
