Re: BVE Clarendon Line
Sorry to dig out an old thread, but did anyone have any luck finding this route?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: BVE Clarendon Line
I have this route but not in Zip folders. Used to play it a lot but only very occasionally these days. No idea where you would get it today. I note that I have the Route and Object folders in their respective folders but can't see a Sound file refering to Clarendon, so it may have a completely different file name! I have kept all my BVE4 routes on a separate DVD data disc as a back-up.
I recall quite some years back now there was an official web site crash and lots of BVE routes were lost (on line) and it took sometime for them to be found and I managed to help in that request due to having them backed up.

I've been able to find the TSC page for the route via Web Archive, but the download links seem to be dead

You can compress them into .zip folders and email them across?
If you don't mind of course, I'd be rather greatful

Re: BVE Clarendon Line
Hey guys, if there is nowhere to get this route, I can host it on my website. As long as you give me the files and tell me, who is the original author. Thanks.
Re: BVE Clarendon Line
Clarendon was built by Dennis Lance.
Last place he was active was on the RailUK forums, where he does appear to be still around.
It was hosted first on his site (freewebs.com/dennislance), and then on TSC until they closed.
I've got the TSC installers kicking around here, but the route itself would need ~200 transparency errors fixing.
Not a big deal, but there you go.
As far as I remember, there were never any sound files associated with Claendon. I certainly don't have any, and the route files don't refer to them either....
I've sent a message, will see where I get before we try disclaimers
Cheers

Will do later, although I've edited my post in the meantime-
Dennis seems to be at least semi-active at RailUK, and if we can get this reposted either on my site or yours (Both would probably be even better!) with official blessing, that's much better than simply reposting with a disclaimer

Re: BVE Clarendon Line
True that. I am not sure if I am registered at RailUK, will you be able to ask him?
Re: BVE Clarendon Line
With Dennis' kind permission, Clarendon is now freshly repaired and uploaded at BVE Cornwall.

I've also swapped the signalling for BRSigs_Open as that was a quick job, and made the night route signalling look so much better.
There are a couple of instances where signal feathers collide with the gantries, but this was a problem with the original too.....

Thanks for this, as I unsuccessfully looked for this a few years ago. I did manage to obtain Maplestead at that time which now seems to be unavailable.

No problem, it's my pleasure
I refuse to let this sim die if I can help it!
I admit I'd forgotten Maplestead was another one of Dennis' creations, and so I'd hope I can probably put up under the same conditions- I've certainly got a copy here.
Will ping him.
