zxq.net, inc. Odakyufan's site not responding (now back online)
Hi,
I just noticed that the whole of zxq.net is down, which means odakyufan's site is down as well.

This itself confirming it was a good idea that I have uploaded all documentation and neccessary things to brnobve.net. We simply cannot rely on one resource...

As I thought... Blocked further development oif OpenBVE by the community, but didn't do anything himself. Terrific... Whether those, who would have participated back then, will be willing to risk volunteering again?

Folks, let's not jump to conclusions here. It seems that the problem lies with the parent domain's (zxq.net) name service (DNS). Google has a cached version of the page from June 26.

I just noticed this thread had ended up in Announcements. I meant it in General discussion. Sorry.

Here's information from the hosting company - Odakyufan has nothing to do with this: http://www.zymic.com/forum/index.php?act=announce&f=2&id=11
Zymic.com wrote:At this current time, Hosting.Zymic.com (zxq/zzl/99k/clanteam/zymichost) is down. Now all sites, files, and databases are still intact so all you need to do is just wait and we will bring it up as fast as we can.

I'm finding the links working again. Conspiracy theories were somewhat premature this time

Yeah right, so let's wait for salvation even longer... I just don't believe in it. He himself doubted he'll do anything more for OpenBVE. I still have his behavior before my eyes. 'I probably won't do anything, but anything done without me is non-verbatim' (between the lines he quite blatantly stated, he doesn't whish anybody to do anything... Check up his posts, here, in this very forum. Modifications are non-verbatim, the name of the program mustn't be used, his name mustn't be desacrated by being named in a further development and OpenBVE isn't public domain maugre Michelle's obvious whish to do so ("Free as in Freedom")...).

In the read-me included in the program the paragraph states:
I think that is plain enough. Its a pity that there has been no further progress made in respect of any further development/improvement of the program itself. At the same time at least the last version is working well enough and is fit for purpose to run the routes written up to the present. I've seen no evidence yet of any attempts at "forking" or other modifications either here in Europe or by the American continent enthusiasts.
