Doors open but not closed?
Hi guys,
I'm trying to modify a older version of a B92 stock DLR unit. On the DLR the train opens its doors itself and then the train captain or PSA closes them. I was thinking, is there anyway openbve can do this? So that the doors automatically open, and the user is responsible for closing them? Maybe chaging a device number?
Thanks

Re: Doors open but not closed?
Hello Jack,
I think what you need to look into is the "door mode" in the train.dat file. There is a value that specifies the way the door are working. If I am not mistaking there are three modes: "manual", "semi-automatic" and "automatic". Somebody correct me if I am wrong, please.

Re: Doors open but not closed?
Go to your train.dat file. It should look like this (using my train.dat as an example)
#DEVICE
0 ; Ats
0 ; Atc
0 ; Eb
0 ; ConstSpeed
0 ; HoldBrake
0 ; ReAdhesionDevice
0 ; LoadCompensatingDevice (not used)
0 ; PassAlarm
0 ; DoorOpenMode
0 ; DoorCloseMode
What concerns you are the last 2 values. Change the 2nd last value to 1, this allows the doors to open by itself but you have no control over them and the last value to 2 which allows only manual control over closing the doors.
