"Dead souls"
Hi guys,
you might have noticed a change in the members counts of these forums; this is because the "dead souls"L are no longer a part of it. Users fulfilling ALL of the following criteria have been erased:
1) No messages posted
2) Last visit 6 moth ago or ealier
3) No visit at all (registration only)
This is to make the forums more tranpsarent and also to reflect the current state of the community better...

Re: "Dead souls"
And may they rest in peace!
It's right and proper that the place is swept occasionally. Possibly some registered out of curiosity to see what is not visible unless a user is logged in. As there is nothing inherently "secret" about the postings on the board (after all, we're NOT the Freemasons!!) perhaps it would save work later if it could be made possible to see all posted material without having to log in. This is possible with most forums, the only restriction for unlogged users being that no posts can be made.

Re: "Dead souls"
Well, all the posts can actually be seen without refistering... it is only links and some images cannot be seen without it. I will have to check that in permissions section...
Re: "Dead souls"
Good idea. No harm with a bit of "pruning" before Christmas.

Re: "Dead souls"
Of course inactive users who get dropped can always re-register. At least this way the number of users quoted is more honest / transparent than some boards who have more stiffs than users LOL
Not quite gone
I joined the forum because I am interested in and use Open BVE but I am no computer expert and do enjoy reading your comments. This is my first post so please don't get rid of me

Re: "Dead souls"
just to clear one thing up - I was not deleting all accounts with no posts; I was deleting only those, which also had no visit in the last 6 months. So, even if you do not post (of course you are not obliged to), your account will be kept if you log in from time to time.
