OpenBVE Repairman needed...
Hi to All....
I have a issue with the Joystick Full Axis Control....
When assigning "Full Axis Dual Handle Throttle" It only responsed to one half the
Range of movement .... Same as if I had assigned "Half Axis"
This the only Axis that I am having a problem with...
I am using a Saitek Pro Throttle Quadrant (3 Handle Version)
My guest is that the Full Axis Dual Handle Throttle has the same settings as a Half Axis Dual Handle Throttle
Yes I did try the Half Axis just incase of an inversion...
I will say the "Full Axis Dual Handle Brake" works the full range of movement...
So I am looking for a Repairman/Mechanic that can tell me how to fix this one issue...
Thanks in Advance ...
Ed

Not sure about your problem, but the following illustration should give you some idea.

Re: OpenBVE Repairman needed...
Hi alvinhochun..
Thanks for the Picture .... I already knew about this ....
It is actually OpenBVE 1.4.2 has the Full Axis Dual Handle Throttle
only using 1/2 of its range....
All others use the full range of the Axis as they should ....
Now it could be this specific Version that is the problem....
I shall see what the other versions look like ....
Again Thanks

Re: OpenBVE Repairman needed...
Hi,
sorry to bump an old thread, but I have the same problem with 1.4.0.9 and Microsoft SideWinder Precision Pro on Ubuntu 12.04. If I understood the explanations thus far correctly, a half axis throttle should have 0% at the midpoint and 100% at one extreme, the other half axis of motion being dead. A full axis throttle should have 0% at one extreme, 50% at the midpoint, and 100% at the other extreme.
Now, I have POWER_FULLAXIS configured in axis 2, positive direction, which means pulling the stick toward myself. When the stick is at rest, i.e. at the midpoint, the throttle is at idle. If I push the stick to the negative direction, nothing happens. If I pull the stick to the positive direction, the throttle opens, and reaches full power at the extreme. If I change the control to POWER_HALFAXIS, it does the exact same thing. This applies for any axis and direction.
What gives? Has any solution been found?
