Re: Developing the Blue Mountains Line/Found Bruce Kennewell!!!
Just one photo, to show my progress
Home straight into Emu Plains, the end of Intercity network, the beginning of suburban workings. From here, the train will travel another 58km to where it finally terminates, Sydney Terminal, now known as Central(i)
Rectangular thing in the background is the railway bridge over Emu Plains railway station

Re: Developing the Blue Mountains Line/Found Bruce Kennewell!!!
I'm actually feeling a bit sad, now I've gone through the Mountain area, and into the Cumberland Plain...... I'll miss the mountain bit, and try to continue my way to where everything finishes......
For the mountain section, I'll endeavour to add as much scenary as I can
For the plain section (i.e. Suburban working) I will not add any scenary, nor any other tracks other than the up/down main line.
I present the opportunity to anyone who's interested to take this line to where it belongs, from Penrith to Berowra......

Seems like nobody really cares about this route, but anyway......
Uni has started again, I was pretty busy during the non-teaching period (2 weeks), but managed to have a day off for a day trip to the mountains, and managed to get myself some photos
My line has so far reached Granville, where things will get really complicated from here, because of the number of yards
I probably won't be doing any work on my route for the next 2 months, depending on how things will go. Work will resume by the end of November
I'm yet to update my video, which at the moment only goes till Katoomba. I know it's shameful...
That's all the update for now

Thanks for that, I still need to check out what sort of sleepers they use on the line, and with a section near Lawson completely new, that may make things more complicated. I think you'll be glad to this, I have laid the track between Canberra and Joppa, with absolutely no scenary planned even if I get to finish the route. So maybe one day, you could be driving the route near you
Re: Developing the Blue Mountains Line/Found Bruce Kennewell!!!
Curve rail and pedestrian level crossing at Zig Zag
Re: Developing the Blue Mountains Line/Found Bruce Kennewell!!!
A few screenshots on progress since I last updated this page...
Rough start to Lithgow Yard
Rough start to Tarana (Route has been extended to Bathurst because of the introduction of the Bathurst endeavour run)
Strathfield and flyover, seems like i need extended rails to close the gaps...
Between Katoomba and Leura, now GWH has side wall
XPT crosses over the Lapstone Viaduct over Western Motorway (note this road is not the GWH)

Re: Developing the Blue Mountains Line/Found Bruce Kennewell!!!
just a quick update, the up-main rail has reached the 1km mark, which is just beyond Redfern on Central side. No platforms have been added between Strathfield and Redfern, so that's something I'll work on. News is, the route is now 238.7 km long from Bathurst to Redfern, don't know if this is the longest route on BVE
