Re: With a bang
Rail travel is, thankfully, a very safe way to get to your destination. Much safer than the roads, But accidents can happen. It's like airliners, they don't crash frequently, but when they do . . . . . . .
And I'm sure our real train drivers are a more competent lot than the bunch of cowboys we can find on train sims

Ouch!!
Surely they're only set off by pressure, so either he chucked something in his bag on top of them, or dropped / threw his bag...
His own fault then, as he knew they were in there.

Second major incident in about as many years... A safety case must be due by now.
Wasn't it Poland that 2 trains collided a few years ago too? If I remember rightly it was... An ex-girlfriend lost her Grandfather in that one...
Not looking good for Poland/Polish Railways at the minute then!

Re: With a bang
I heard about the one in Malmo, as I've been talking to two Swedish people online for a few years now.
One of whom actually lives in Malmo!!
She's pretty nice looking too!

Re: With a bang
I was at Doncaster many years ago on the Annual Festive Outing to see new and exciting things (ever played Guess the 91? You've never lived) and there was an issue with the overhead supply, with a 91 stranded just south of the station. Chap wanders over to the 67 in the sidings by the works to tow it in, opens the cab door from the trackside and lobs his bag into the vestibule behind the cab... and straight out the other side.pedned wrote:so either he chucked something in his bag on top of them, or dropped / threw his bag...
