Re: Waterville to Newbridge
At 50km from Waterville the train terminates at Newbridge. Station platforms, canopys, footcrossing etc all made. Trackwork done inc carriage sidings. That leave 14km of countryside to fill with some interesting features. That's the hard bit!
Re: Waterville to Newbridge
How about a nice bridge high over a deep river cutting?

Near the 23-mile post
There is a lot more than I can show here or on facebook. There are one or two people who have had access to the route files and seen all that is done up till now (its about 75% complete). I hope to release it some time later this year, you'll just have to wait

Yep - that's an 'old' 22000 - no UIC numbering on the cab end!
Excellent progress Gray - looking forward to the finished results!

Re: Waterville to Newbridge
Made a little bus today. Found images on google, but no pics of the back of a bus, though I can think of a few lookalikes LOL. Made a rear end in photoshop from bits, so no worries.

This pic used the lo-res images, sides only 256x128 pixels, which is a 69kb image in RGB. Trying it as indexed color, it was a good bit smaller but the colour rendering was bad.

Re: Waterville to Newbridge
We're fine for pics. And I put some air in the tyres LOL
The other bus I use was based on Guillymans mesh of a National Express coach, re-skinned to Bus Eireann appearance. It is a pity that Guillyman is not making any more vehicles for use with OpenBVE, his work was superb.
I'm not sure if this double decker would suit UK users (well, it wouldn't in Dublin Bus colours!!) but if there's any demand for it I don't mindl donating it to the lbrary.

Re: Waterville to Newbridge
Wish I was able to build my route that much open space as yours is. Some advice, maybe?:-)

Aircraft are always difficult to scale - I think from the first screenshot they need to be slightly bigger, and a tiny bit further away from the road though? But it might just be the angle of the screenshot...

Re: Waterville to Newbridge
Boeing 737 dimensions taken from info on Wikipedia. We like 'em near the road as there's a tradition of terrorism here and we like to keep up with tradition LOL Ryanair's 737s aren't the biggest of jets, I've seen them often enough just up the road here at Knock airport. Though I could enlarge them for effect if you think it would look better. It does look a bit different running in the program compared to the screenshot, I suppose due to differences using Routeviewer to grab screenies.
Re: Waterville to Newbridge

Re: Waterville to Newbridge
EIKN / KOC for Knock. A 737 isn't really that big (anyone seen a Vulcan? It's about that size)
The Dublin Bus would be suitable for UK users (re-skinned, of course). It's an Alexander Dennis / Alexander Volvo B7TL ALX400 series bus, replaced in favour of the AD Enviro 400 a few years ago. 10 of them in Dublin Bus service have the Dennis Trident chassis. Stagecoach is a major user of ALX400's, with many in London

Its a shame the people that loved his work didn't stand by him when he needed it the most, he is a lovely guy and the most honest and trust worthy guy i will ever meet.
His work wasn't superb, his work was un-compeatable in terms of his faces and texturing, and if it wasn't for him the base of the 350, which was his 450 mesh, would not have been here, and would not of put me on the "map" and my work would never have been shown. but the 350 lives on, and some of his best work will be around for a long time to come believe me!

Re: Waterville to Newbridge
Graymac - have you considered knocking up a simple route map for your network? I find a map handy to get an overview of the network and lines and it's also useful when your selecting a route diagram to see exactly which bit it covers.
(plus I'm a stickler for a map! )

I'll barge in and propose we don't disrupt Graymac's work on new addons, if it's okay with Gray it would be an honour for me to make a map, including a PSR guide for the Waterville network!

Re: Waterville to Newbridge
It was always intended to do something along the lines of a quail map and possibly a timetable. I did start to note down the details.
If anyone wants to have a go and produce something of their own there's no reason why not. If so I would appreciate it that it was made crystal clear that it was the author's work, not mine, and not sanctioned as a genuine celtictrainsim item. For example: "John Brown's Guide to the Ballyfeckin and Waterville Railway".
Obviously I reserve the right to bring out my own publications as and when convenient or necessary.

Re: Waterville to Newbridge
I think I might 'bash up' a route map for you. Already done the timetable!
