hacked email address
Hi all, just a quickie, yesterday i noted that my email address had been hacked, (several emails sent from my pc having used my address book to locate email address`s), if you do receive anything from me using my mobile1 name or my correct email address, please check it first...The attack happened just after midnight 22nd/23rd, Strange isnt it, just after i posted the latest screenies of the new route..I wonder who was up at that time, of course the time changes where ever you are.....

I change mine every week! But its happened to me. its a spam bot. can be sent via an email, from an email, through a link, or even via forum emails, due to them going straight to your email account.

Re: hacked email address
Mail purporting to be from mobile1** was sent to me, containing cryptic
message "Now you can know the secret of my success", and a link to what
appeared to be a "pharmaceutical" site, i.e. bloody viagra!
My antivirus shagged it, which is the only shagging that pharma site ( and
the hacker) deserves.
(** the user name on the scam was mobile1's private email)

Re: hacked email address
Turns out that what sends these emails are spambots. They are common on hotmail and I often receive friend requests from unknown people, something to do with dating.

Re: hacked email address
mobile1's email wasn't a hotmail account, Shaq. But you're probably quite right that there are spambots working at all times. It's very annoying when it happens.
As for the dating bit ...... knowing my luck, if I had been daft enough to open it, I bet it would have been a right old dog! Woof! Woof!
